In this excerpt from The Big Bang Theory Sheldon is classically conditioning Penny with the positive reinforcement of chocolates every time She does something he deems good or above average.

Thoughts:
For such a scientist I'm surprised he only used positive reinforcement. -A

For how smart Sheldon is you would think he would do a much bigger experiment on more people. -K

The classical conditioning of
Penny relates the classical conditioning of the kids, because the erotic play was thought to be positive, therefore they where just like penny, when doing something good they where rewarded. In the kids case this was positive reinforcement to encourage casual sex among the kids later on. - C

Well Sheldon seems to think Penny is a dog for some reason and just likes to offer her treats. - S

This video shows actual video from one of the first human experimentations with classical conditioning. The boy is given a control interaction with all the animals but then in objected to a loud banging noise every time he tries to interact with the white rats. As a result, little Albert in made to fear not only the white rats, but everything he even associates with the rats.

Thoughts:
I'm amazed the child learned so much fear in so little time. working this backwards would be a much more difficult path. Its kind of sad that we fear so easily and forgive so slowly. -A

Connection: This connects to the book because the children are conditioned to fear and dismiss the other parts of the caste system. The white rat in the book is the other caste groups, because the children are taught to be happy where they are placed and to not affilitate with the lower and upper groups. - C

Thoughts:
I'm amazed at how the doctor even thought of doing something like this experiment. I could only imagine what other experiments he would do or is thinking about doing.

Thoughts:
this video is more short and to the point but it still shows that the baby Albert was scared probably for the rest of his life and most likely never wanted a pet. - S

This video thoroughly described and went through each step of the the Albert experiment then gave some extra psychological context. It also gives context on the life of "Albert" after the experiment saying that he died at age 6 probably still fearing small mammals.

Thoughts:

The video seemed redundant and didn't really give any usable information since I had already seen the video for the experiment itself. -A

Thoughts:
This video wasn't really helpful, it gave brief explanations on the experiment that was given to the baby and that's about. -K

The video itself wasn't very interesting, yet it did give me insight into the idea of conditioning in real life and how it can actually be applicable- C

I think that it would be a lot harder to make a discovery like that in today's day and age because that was quite abusive and scaring to the baby and instead of a scientist Dr. Watson would be a criminal. - S
