         <description><![CDATA[<p>During the marshalling activity, I had to get used to calibrating myself what is left or right in the perspective of the pilot. For example, to guide the pilot to turn left, I had to wave the wand to my right and vice versa. As I needed time to calibrate myself to this, the plane was not so centralized to the center line.  </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>VGDS: </p><p>The advantage of the VGDS is that it gives a clear indication of how the aircraft is currently positioning in. (whether straight or more to the left or right). The disadvantage is that it does not indicate the distance to the stopping line, how centralized the plane is to the center line. </p><p><br/></p><p>AVGDS: </p><p>The advantage of the AVGDS is that unlike the VGDS, it provides the distance remaining to the stopping line, and measures the plane centralization according to the center line of the parking stand. </p>]]></description>

Like how my right would be the pilot's left and my left would be the pilot's right. An error in this would cause the whole plane to shift axis since pilot's would follow my signal.          <description><![CDATA[<p>VGDS was a good first like having a helpful spotter. It gave a clearer view than a marshall, but the basic display sometimes felt limited. AVGDS feels like a whole new Level. The enhanced visuals are amazing, like having a virtual helper guiding me through turns. While both systems take some practice to get used to, AVGDS feels like a big jump forward in safety and efficiency.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>1) Controls felt clunky and it was very easy to over/under shoot when trying to keep the aicraft aligned. It didnt help that the controls were inverted so it there was a leanring curve involved as well.</p><p><br/></p><p>2) Hand marshalling allows for clear and concise information without the need for verbal communication, very helpful in cases where it is impractical or not possible to do so. Standardized signals help marshallers communicate clear instructions to aircraft pilots, reducing chances of miscommunication. This helps avoid accidents or accidental misinterpretations by the receiving party</p><p><br/></p><p>3) VDGS felt quite comfortable to use, being able to gauge better than with the help of a marshal, however, it came with a downside as the display was quite  lackluster and felt inaccurate at times. On the other hand, AVGDS is the culmination of newer technology being utilised. Being able to see clear visuals and being aided by a virtual helper so i can focus on myself rather than paying too mucha ttention was a plus, helping me take more decisive and accurate turns as a result. overall, i feel that AVGDS is a big step up, especially in terms of efficiency.</p><p><br/></p><p>4) Technology has come a far way in the world of aviation, and overall it had improved it by making it safer to run operations. These processes help streamline the flow of the aerodrome, such as by being shift large aircrafts with a single person utilising the tech. However, this does not mean it is 100% safe, and requires a learned technician to operate, so we should not overlook skilled personnells in favor of greater technology at times.</p>]]></description>

If the marshaller wants the plane to go towards the right, the marshaller is required to use the left signal since the point of view of the marshaller and the pilot is inverted. Vice versa.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Describe the significance of following standardised hand signals in aircraft marshalling.</strong></p><p><br></p><p>-&gt; A standardized hand signals in aircraft marshalling help ensure clear communication between ground crew and pilots, minimizing the risk of accidents and collisions.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Compare and contrast your experience using VGDS and AVGDS, highlighting any advantages or challenges</strong></p><p><br></p><p>-&gt; VGDS :</p><p>Advantage : VGDS provide an additional layer of safety by supplementing verbal and radio communication with visual cues.</p><p>Disadvantage : VGDS require regular maintenance to ensure proper functioning</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>-&gt; AVGDS :</p><p>Advantage : as the aircraft approaches the apron, a LED display can be seen which indicates the type of aircraft, the distance the aircraft is from the apron and the position of the aircrafts</p><p>Disadvantage : in adverse weather condition such as heavy fog or rain, visibility may be significantly reduced, making it difficult for ground crew and pilots to see each other clearly. this would lead to the effectiveness of the AVGDS to impede and increase the risk of miscommunications or errors during marshalling.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Reflect on the role of technology, specifically VGDS and AVGDS, in enhancing pushback operations.</strong></p><p><br></p><p>-&gt; VGDS and AVGDS provide real-time visual feedback to pilots and ground handlers, enabling them to precisely align the aircraft with the designated taxi lane or gate. But with time, I slowly adapted and got used to the controls and managed to smoothly get the aircraft align with the center line.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Describe the significance of following standardized hand signals in aircraft marshalling.</strong></p><p><br/></p><p>Standardized hand signals are very important in ensuring  no misunderstandings, accidents or any kind of miscommunication happen in aircraft operations. It ensures safety and efficiency overall as well.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Compare and contrast your experience using VGDS and AVGDS, highlighting any advantages or challenges encountered with each system.</strong></p><p><br/></p><p>The advantage of VGDS is that it is easy to use, with a simplistic system, however it was limited in features compared to AVGDS. AVGDS was a more advanced system as it had more features to play with, as well as a clearer visuals which helped me get more consistent and efficient results in the long run. However, it took me a while to get comfortable with it as it was not as easy to use as VGDS.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Reflect on the role of technology, specifically VGDS and AVGDS, in enhancing pushback operations.</strong></p><p><br/></p><p>Even in limited visibility, AVGDS provide more accurate navigation through the use of laser technology and electronic displays. While VGDS guides aircraft onto the centerline and notify pilots when to stop using lights or parallax effects.          <description><![CDATA[<p>1) It's hard trying to align the plane with the centerline which will result in overshooting or undershooting, also the controls were inverted which makes it harder to control the marshaller.</p><p>2) standardised hand signal in aircraft marshalling makes communication between the pilot and the marshaller easier as it is quick and efficient which is hard to misinterpret as they would be trained.</p><p>3)AVGDS was easier to use and it gives a clearer indication compared to VGDS, AVGDS let us see how much distance we have left to stop and if we are align or not while VGDS only tell us if we are too far right or left which can be hard to gauge </p><p>4)VGDS and AVGDS provide real-time visual guidance, eliminating blind spots and increasing pilot situational awareness while maneuvering. This significantly reduces the possibility of colliding with ground equipment or another aircraft.
