Instructional Activity: Welcome to the Pacific Northwest -Now where exactly is that? Students will learn about PNW boundaries and how this idea is argued among different people. Thinking critically/Journal Activity - Journal about the boundaries they would choose to be called the PNW and why.

Learning Objective: Students will be able to identify and label the PNW boundaries (states we will use for our class) while also explaining how the boundaries are argued by various people after analyzing text and classroom discussion.

Learning Objective: Students will be able to identify tribes from each PNW region and resources used in each region after completing worksheet with slideshow.

Instructional Activity: Visual + Presentation. Student to create a visual (newspaper, slideshow, Padlet, 3D model, etc.) and then present it to their classroom. To include in their presentation: WHAT is the information they are presenting (tribal region selected), WHY they chose to present this information, WHAT they thought was important about it, WHY it was interesting to them.

Learning Objective: Students will be able to utilize previously learned data to clearly present and explain the daily life of tribes within selected region: Coastal, Plateau, or Great Basin.
