         <description><![CDATA[<div>Our current students will be exposed to a more diverse set of cultural beliefs/behaviors IF the new student is just a "new student" not a "one of those Urban-Suburban kids".<br><br>Opportunity for broadening our sense of community.  Kids learn that we are part of a larger world/community.<br><br>Only the youngest kids (K) are unequivocally accepting.  After that they start to notice (not judge) differences.<br><br>Broadening horizons, seeing different culture (Rochester is a different culture? - sure, maybe different clothing, different household norms, etc.).<br><br>Currently our exposure to "diversity" is an event rather than being embedded - we need to become used to being immersed in differences.<br><br>Our students become more comfortable going out into a world that looks a lot different than HFL.<br><br></div>]]></description>
