All Disciples , All Missionaries

1st Round sharing

1.1- To open the different ministries to parishioners, create a sense of awareness and welcome everyone. Guide them to discover their charism.

1.2- House to house catechesis is effective, to help the formandees. Mentoring is important, and let them discover their charisms.

What can we do so that they realize their vocation? To pray and discern their vocation. It' s a challenge to create that atmosphere of deepening one's vocation

1.3- On Social concerns like safe desk in the parishes. There are people who are willing to help and volunteer themselves.

1.4- We encounter charism if there is openness and sense of welcoming. It's not a threat, we welcome creativity. We cannot monopolize the ministry, we have to expand our tent. We need to seek them out to discover new charism. There are different needs in the Church. We need to create needs for the people such as engagement with the state. We do not rely on the present needs, but also we expand the Church.

1.5- In terms of ministries I have frustrations and joys. I invite but only few who respond. They are busy, shy to involve to take responsibility, however, a joy because they recognize their unworthiness. Bayanihan system is still alive, a symbol of synodal dynamism.

1.6- We extend our tent. The officers of the PPC belongs to a University. When we allow our insecurities to overcome us, we become close minded. For Synodality to really be successful, priests must be supportive and open to all.

1.7- I am filled up with positive experiences by recongnizing the charism of others for young men and women to be synodal.

1.8- We recognize the experties of our lay leaders to be effective collaborators in order to implement successfully all our pastoral programs.

2nd Round sharing

2.1- I am touched. We must not supressed charism. We are the agents of synodality

We have to change and nurture lay charisms.

2.2- "Depende sa pari" how can we eliminate this mentality? We allow ourselves to be dictated. Who has the problem? Charism is a gift to be nurtured.

2.3- I can experience charism by avoiding mediocrity.

2.4- Edsa Shrine has no teritorial bounderies. The servers are coming from the different parishes. Everyone is welcome to serve and by acknowledging our limitations we can reach out to more people.

2.5- Non-responsiveness of the people, I asked myself do I lack something? It's not good, perhaps the problem is their ability to offer their time.

2.6- How to be a synodal formator? Seminarians can express their talents. I have to trust the seminarians that we have the same goal for the Church

It takes a lot of humility and patience to live out synodality.

2.7- The call is holiness. Synodality is the heart of the formation by giving them responsibilities. We have to support our seminarians. We need to intensify the formation of our seminarians.

2.8- Not to be intimidated by other's competence and acknowledge the needs of others to be needed.

3rd Round Communal discernment

3.1- Openness and welcoming attitude.

3.2- The Church must be opened for all.

GROUP 6
#1
1. There are parishes in our diocese who values volunterism specifically in charity works. There is a reminder about the program of the parish and the diocese. "Lazaro" refers to our brothers and sisters in Christ in the peripheries.

2. Ministry of the Family & Life. Many lay faithful are living together without receiving tue sacrament of Marraige. The parish offers mass wedding but no body Is willing to apply and get married but when the LGU schedules the mass wedding, many faithful are availing it because also of the gifts given by the LGU. The challenge for us is to evangelize, how important the sacrament of Marriage. Come up with strategies focusing on evangelization.

3. I encourage all in the ministries to make initiatives to go out to the peripheries and conduct gift giving in the areas. Make initiatives to contribute among themselves to be given to the less fortunate. They felt the presence of the Church through these volunteers. We celebrate Christmas party together with the less fortunate in our community.

4. Fr. was the director of the diocesan Plan, he enumerated the headcount members of his ministries in the parish. Undergo discernment in the parish, "Kalasag" Kaagapay lagi da araw at gabi ( In order to protect and defend the works of the devil). Stated the question, what can we offer to the community when it comes to social service. It help us to come up with a rescue team group in the parish. Introduce new charism to the church.

5. 18 years in the parish, Mandated organizations are already in the parish. The role of the priests as spiritual directors of these organizations. I take a look on the decree of these orgs. The members should be witnesses of Christ in the family, but the question is, where are the families of these members? One of the challenges I imposed on them is to bring also thier family members to the Church. To become own missionaries of the parish.

6. These Charism are gifts from the Lord and should be offered for the Greater glory of God. the Danger is when we consider these charisms as our armors to uplift our own images and prestige in the churches Ranks

#2

1. I saw in the ministry the "duality of life" the vibrancy of service and the dimming of this vibrancy. it is a dynamic in the ministries in the Church. The Challenge is help these individuals to ignite thier gifts. there is a sense of hope.

2. Charism leading to competitions. "Palakasan System", Others became a threat to the other groups. As pastors, we need to accompany them towards conversion and the kingdom of God.

3. I agree with the competitions among the ministries. Emphasize the shared vision of each ministries in the diocese. The Ministries exist to strengthen and support the BEC. And as witness of Christ to others. Others loyalty are not in the parish but on thier ministries.

4. You are only members of the ministries, the ministries are not yours. Encouraging the members to bring their families to the church. Needs renewal in the parish ministry members.

5. Affirmed BEC after the PCP II, what left out is the Family. There is a struggle on how to bring the family to the church.

6. SEE, judge, Act ( adapt to the needs of the time, such as social media, mental health and etc)

#3

1. Accompaniment
2. Sense of renewal of the ministries
3. Discernment to the needs of the time (see, judge, act)
4. Bring the families to the church
5. Preparation before the reception of the Sacraments
6. New Ministries to accommodate many charisms in the church
7. BEC as the actualization of the synodality

Coming from different cultural ecclesiastical backgrounds, each one of us shared unique perspective of experiences in relation with our unifying journey with the laity who holds different charisms, vocations, and ministries.

Common to our sharing is on the importance of the presence of the parish priest in the parish and with the people. Highlighting Stewardship, not focusing on monetary aspect, but on giving time and efforts such as attending the meetings of the different ministries. Our presence counts much to them! This shows that the leadership manifested by priests affects and effects the parish. For who the priest is and how he orchestrates the different ministries in the parish reflects the image of the parish. This is why, we must learn to be first; APPRECIATIVE to the efforts of the lay especially to the volunteers, no matter how small what they have done. Second, ENCOURAGING them to serve by sharing their giftedness so that they may feel that it is everyone's Church. This also includes tapping the possible leaders who are ashamed to present themselves yet in their hearts are true missionaries. Third, NOURISH them by giving formations to different ministries especially to the PPC.

However, we must be aware of other realities in the personal aspect of priests and the realities of the parish. One is the possible Messianic Complex of priest who assumes that things must be done in accordance to his vision. This prevents the programs made by former priests and the ministries to have the sense of continuity. Another is the Sense of Entitlement of the Laity that does not blend to the shared Mission Vision of the Parish. With the differences of charisms and ministries, this caused to create conflict and seperation among Church members, a challenge to the parish priest to guide them in their rootedness to the mission and his firmness in expressing unifying decisions.

Lastly, in dealing with the different charisms, vocations and ministries, the pastor must learn to know Christ in the lives of this people. With oneness of faith, these differences must not cause KANYA-KANYA but rather, SAMA-SAMA as disciples and missionaries of the Lord. Unity in Diversity!

Round 1

Our group has experienced the participation of different ministries primarily through the existing ministries, but we also experienced emerging ministries through the following:

The extension of financial help to suffering parishes that underwent calamities like during the pandemic. Help is also extended to poor members of the parish.

The presence of social media commission is a great ministry that helps those who cannot physically go to church.

Due to the significantly increasing cases of suicide and depression among the youth, and due also to marital problems experienced by many couples, the creation of a counselling ministry in the parish would be of great help.

Tap persons who can contribute to the Church. This is not limited to the different liturgical and other existing ministries. Le tus explore the unchartered territories of Counselling Ministries. There are many charisms and vocations in a parish. These are not limited only to churchy ministries. Let us also acknowledge ministries like counsellors, powerpoint creators, prayer warriors like those who do vigil for the dead. Provide more ministries that respond to the needs of the parish and the diocese.

Round 2 Resonance

What seems common in the sharing is the creation or opening of other ministers that respond to the rising needs of the time. Let us boldly go to unchartered territories like social media ministries, counselling ministries, especially with the many cases of depression and suicide, family desk for struggling couples, ministry for the deaf and mute and blind, which at the moment the Catholic Church still lacks.

Let seminary formation also go to the unchartered territories. Leaving behind the traditional formation, let them be exposed to the different charisms in the parish and the different rising ministries.

Round 3

The Holy Spirit is leading us to respond to the new signs of the times, that is, the various situations of our people, and provide ministries that will address these needs.

So that no one is left behind, let us learn how to minister to the deaf, the mute, the blind (if we have to learn sign language, we do it), the depressed and families with problems (post cana care for couples).

FIRST ROUND

1. Participation of Different Charisms, Vocations, Ministries in Parish and Diocese Life

Religious Nuns and BEC Formation: Religious nuns have been instrumental in forming Basic Ecclesial Communities (BECs) within the parish. Their efforts have enhanced social action initiatives, particularly in disaster management.

Parish Ministries: There are eight ministries in our parish, including family life and youth. These ministries have created spaces for the faithful to engage and participate actively.

BEC Synodality: The BEC model promotes synodality, requiring community involvement from small groups of 5-7 families. Celebrating Mass in different zones has brought vitality and a new way of living. Regular one-hour meetings with BEC leaders help prepare agendas and empower leaders to make decisions. Celebrating significant life events within these communities fosters a sense of belonging and attentiveness to community needs.

Seminary Assignments: The seminary involves many organizations and ministries. Seminarians contribute to various aspects, such as liturgy and academics, providing suggestions for productivity and improvement. Key aspects include:

Participation as a Community: Tasks are approached collectively, emphasizing the community's role.

Parish Support: Parishes are encouraged to support the seminary not just monetarily but also with goods like vegetables and fruits.

Clergy Initiative: Clergy are encouraged to lead by example in supporting the seminary.

Parish Outreach: Ministries and organizations reach out to people, with catechetical ministries playing a crucial role in parish formation and worship. Lay ministries, motivated by service, often challenge volunteers to step out of their comfort zones, emphasizing the importance of sacrifice.

Parish and Seminary Contributions to Diocesan Life and Mission

BEC Impact: BECs significantly contribute to the vitality and life of the Church. The Church thrives through these small communities.

Seminarian Development: Interventions are necessary to help seminarians discover and develop their charisms, preparing them for future ministry.

Lessons Learned

Generosity and Giving: The emphasis is on the generosity of giving rather than the amount given. In a synodal church, no gift is too small.

Collaboration: Success in programs is attributed to the collaboration and participation of parishioners. Active involvement from everyone leads to successful initiatives and programs.

These experiences highlight the importance of community involvement, empowerment, and collaboration in fostering a vibrant parish and diocesan life.

SECOND ROUND: RESONANCE

1. Generosity and Vocations

Blessings of Charism Sharing: When people share their charisms, they are blessed by God with more vocations. This generosity enriches the community and strengthens the Church.

2. Transition from Structure to Pastoral formation

Role of Clergy: Clergy act as coordinators, helping parishioners and seminarians discover their charisms. This transition from a structured approach to a pastoral one involves deeper engagement and personal connection.

Seminary Formation: Young formators in the seminary assist in the formation of future priests, emphasizing pastoral integration in the context of synodality. Priests now actively reach out to communities, fostering a sense of presence and engagement.

3. Formation and Participation

Impact of Contribution: Contributions to formation processes are valued not just for their material impact but for their role in aiding the formation of future Church leaders.

Learning from Formation: The seminary formation process provides valuable lessons in living and becoming a Church. Participation is essential, and sharing gifts is encouraged, reinforcing that no gift is too small in a synodal church.

4. Collective Efforts and Implementation

Synodal Church: Collective efforts lead to a synodal Church that includes diverse activities and liturgies. Implementation of programs starts with the clergy, who must embody the principles they preach ("walk the talk").

Witnessing and Charism Appreciation: When leaders initiate and model behaviors, the community becomes more vibrant and engaged. Appreciating and enriching different charisms and gifts is crucial for the growth and vitality of the Church community.

These points emphasize the importance of generosity, pastoral care, participation, and collective efforts in fostering a vibrant and synodal Church community.

THIRD ROUND: COMMUNAL DISCERNMENT

The Holy Spirit leads us to the importance of ongoing conversion and discernment within the ministry of the Church. It calls for a collaborative approach between priests and the faithful, ensuring that everyone's voices are heard. This involves listening to the community, utilizing their gifts, and addressing the needs of those preparing for the priesthood.

Key points include:

The clergy must lead by example, demonstrating their commitment and concern for the people.

Building relationships where individuals feel valued and taken seriously.

Challenging individuals to acknowledge their weaknesses and providing support in their formation.

Encouraging personal development and self-awareness of strengths.

Striking a balance in all aspects of ministry.

The reflection is inspired by the role of the child in the Gospel of the multiplication of the loaves, highlighting that great things can come from small contributions. It encourages openness to sharing whatever one has and overcoming fear.

They have a unique structure compare to other parishes. School catechesis is also part of concrete participation of charisms.

Fr. Aljim- his experience of participation in the seminary is during the time of evaluation. The team will decide if the formand/candidate is suitable for the priesthood. Is his character, personality fit for the ministry? In formation, the formators are looking for qualities/charisms from the formands.

Fr. Migs- Being assigned in an island his experience of participation is training islanders to table tennis which result in positive results. He also trained and exposed sacristans to sports developing right attitude and values. Sports is a venue for formation, discipline and achieving success in life.

Fr. Ben- his experience as parish priest (42 years) is thrilling. He is the first among his class to become a parish priest. He enjoyed walking many kms going the areas and delighted that people are happy to also see the priest. The same excitement still remains as long as I can serve the marginalized. His attitude never change even my obedience to the superior.

Fr. Raul- he is longing for a parish being assigned in the seminary for many years. Today his dimension of participation in charisms is tapping students with different talents in the seminary.

Fr. Cesar- base on his experience for 44 years is that when he was younger his challenge is how to be there for the community at all occasion because he has a tendency to become a "one man rule/ messianic tendency" especially in the time of martial law because of his idea that he can save and change everyone. His learning now is how to involve the community with their charisms and how to really uplift morals and values today.

Fr. Ruslan-Diocesan pastoral priorities. "Participation" thrust of the diocese.

Resonances/ Making space for others and the Others

Fr. Aljim- what struck is on the idea of obedience to the superior. A question on what if my assignment, ministry is not helpful for me or I am not growing. It is a good reminded to go back to the vow of Obedience.

Fr. Rustom- A time to identify charisms from the community and develop them.

Fr. Migs-To identify candidates to the priesthood which requires prayer and discernment. Which is also the same on how to discern officers in the parish which requires prayer and reflection.

Fr. Ben- the affirmation with the seminary formators in their seriousness in formation. Especially to discern who is suitable for priesthood.

Fr. Raul- Prayer is essential in ministry. To listen to the promptings of the spirit and to the Will of God. Prayer makes me comfortable to the ministry we are in.

Fr. Cesar- what resonates is the idea of identifying talents and charism and involving them for the mission.

Fr. Ruslan- basics of prayer. Mass should not be used as excuse to dispense personal prayer.

Building Together/Call to Action

Where is the Holy Spirit leading us?

The Spirit, the source of all charisms, calls us to prayer to empower us in identifying and recognizing gifts, charism, and talents for the continuous growth and dynamism of the Church.

Synthesis Report on Table 16 Discussions

First Round

1. Liturgical Participation and Lay Involvement:

   - The participation of lay people in the Church is primarily liturgical.

   - There is a lack of cohesive efforts among congregations, such as those in Couples for Christ, highlighting a need for more unified activities for synodality.

2. LOMAS and COLA Dynamics:

   - LOMAS (Lay Organization Movements Associations) and COLA (Commission on Lay Association) need unification to benefit the diocese.

   - Conflicts among LOMAS groups are common, with each parish having distinct organizations.

   - Priests play a crucial role in uniting these groups.

3. BEC in Mindanao:

   - Mindanao parishes predominantly use BECs (Basic Ecclesial Communities), which are not always recognized or supported by LOMAS.

   - The absence of LOMAS makes parish work more challenging, whereas their presence lightens the load.

4. Participation Challenges:

   - BECs mainly focus on sacramental participation but struggle with outreach, such as feeding programs and supporting single mothers.

   - BECs need a shift from maintenance to mission mode.

5. Program Integration:

   - Some LOMAS groups resist joining diocesan programs.

   - Full participation in diocesan programs is often lacking.

6. Diocesan Strategic Planning:

   - Lay participation is vital, but clergy leadership is the primary driver.

   - Programs often fail if priests are not actively involved.

   - In places like Manila, where BEC is not yet a lifestyle, participation is liturgical and social development is hard to foster.

   - Succession planning for youth and young adults is essential but currently insufficient.

7. Emotional Maturity and Sustainability:

   - Emotional maturity of both priests and laypeople is crucial for sustaining parish work.

Second Round

1. Recognition of Various Parish Groups:

   - Some parishes recognize and support different LOMAS, allowing them to thrive.

   - Legion of Mary focuses on outreach to unbaptized and unconfirmed individuals but often lacks support.

   - There is a gap between seminary training and actual ministry, suggesting a need for updated formation programs.

2. Program Ownership:

   - Lay associations struggle with program ownership within parishes.

   - Transparency and inclusion of BEC are necessary, but BEC should not be seen as just another association.

3. Youth Ministry:

   - Youth involvement is transitory and challenging to sustain, especially within school settings.

4. Seminary Formation and Emotional Maturity:

   - Emotional and affective maturity are critical issues, especially since many seminarians come from broken families.

   - Seminaries are not rehabilitation centers and need more resources to address these challenges.

5. Formators and Future Church Leaders:

   - The commitment and emotional maturity of priests and formators are pivotal for the successful formation of seminarians.

6. Strategic Planning for Direction:

   - There is a need for strategic plans with clear directions to avoid wasted efforts.

7. Formator Presence:

   - The presence of experienced formators is inspiring for new formators and is crucial for the seminary's stability.

Third Round

1. Seminary Formation:

   - Seminary formation is essential for training future pastors in a synodal manner.

2. Regional Formator Meetings:

   - Regular meetings of formators by region can help in sharing best practices and addressing common challenges.

3. Mentorship for New Priests:

   - New priests should be assigned to experienced parish priests for mentorship.

4. Selection of Formators:

   - Careful selection of priests for formation roles is necessary to ensure they are suited for this important task.

This synthesis highlights the complexities and challenges in fostering effective lay participation, seminary formation, and parish integration within the diocese, emphasizing the need for unity, strategic planning, and emotional maturity among clergy and laypeople.

Indeed, ministries are truly a gift from the Holy Spirit. The varied representation of lay collaborators is well-represented in the ministry of the Church. There are farmers, teachers, and engineers, all of whom are being used by the Holy Spirit to share their gifts, particularly in the Biblical apostolate. It is our desire that all ministries undergo this learning experience, which is rooted in Scripture.

It is very evident that there is no scarcity of gifts in the parish. There are gifted choirs, youth groups, and various other organizations. There are also ministers who have the capacity to relate well with the local government units (LGU). Though challenges may arise, we do not lose hope but continuously implore that the Holy Spirit will continue to be our guide and source of inspiration.

As St. Paul reminds us, the Church, the mystical body of Jesus Christ, has Him as its Head, and we are united with Him, with varied charisms manifested in us. For this reason, the Church continues its mission, reminding us that it is not the monopoly of the parish priest to fulfill this mission. We do not own it. The involvement of all ministries is truly remarkable.

The challenges continue, requiring that the parish priest have the obedience to listen to the voice of the Shepherd who calls him to represent Him in the community, to gather them in the name of Jesus, especially during community celebrations. It is also the task of the parish priest to remind the flock that ministries are not places of competition but avenues for complementing each other's varied gifts. He must guide them, provide structures, and encourage them to focus on particular ministries that can foster their growth as servants.

To sustain spirituality and service in the Church, there is a need to animate different activities. The Eucharist and prayers are the source of our strength in life. Listening to each other, what resonates in our discussions are the words of Scripture. Truly, there are many visible gifts in the Church. The Holy Spirit gives inspiration and harmonizes the varied gifts of the faithful.

The involvement of each ministry in the Church should always be in the light of the Gospel. When teaching, they do it in the name of the Church. Life is sustained, and this life comes from activities centered on Jesus. To continue this mission, we truly need the heart of a true Shepherd. As the Holy Spirit continues to inspire the Church as its custodian, may we all be sustained and harmonized, remaining docile to its promptings.

Our common experience: the relationships, structures, and process of the Church that we all share as baptized

The people of God who serve in different charisms, vocations, and ministries are living reminders for us of the life that we, priests and particularly parish priests, should live: a life of simplicity, contentment, and gratitude. This is a striking identification mark of being a parish priest, but the group admits it is challenging. Inviting new faces into the Church creates, attracts, and fosters a sense of belongingness. For instance, one of the parish priests in the groups made a bold but compassionate gesture of inviting LGBTQ individuals, who are also part of God’s people, to help prepare the Kasalang Bayan ng Parokya, from flower arrangements to make-up. This inclusive approach not only enriches our community but also reflects the love and acceptance that Christ teaches us. There is also the immediate realization that monopolizing tasks, including those not requiring the sacrament of Orders, could detriment the parish priest’s well-being. So, the group’s common sentiment is to envision a parish community that is a fruit of collaboration, co-responsibility, and reciprocal accompaniment, not of biases, favoritism, and rejection. The shared experience of willingly engaging ourselves in animating these different baptismal charisms of the faithful came out as a crucial element of participation. Our group also believes parish priests cannot always be goal-oriented and result-oriented. The development of charisms in the faithful happens along the process. The development process is equally valuable, and we cannot just base the success of synodal participation by just looking at the result of it. When parish priests affirm, through genuine accompaniment, the self-esteem and potentialities of the faithful with different charisms and gifts for the church, we achieve unity in diversity. This will fulfill Jesus’s prayer: “May all be one.” Thus, becoming apostles of synodality through sharing missions is a concrete expression of unity.

Our resonances and resistances

The good relationship we build with the lay faithful is essential for encouraging genuine engagement in the church’s missionary work. The group consistently shared that the trust and confidence we show the lay faithful leads them to a deeper dedication to serve in the parish community. Moreover, appreciating the people’s work is a basic attitude that we parish priests should have. We cannot just let them do work in the parish and turn away, ignoring them. Even a simple “Thank you” and spending time with them already means a lot. The group was equally attracted to the idea of becoming mission animators by focusing more on the process rather than the result. On the contrary, the group is also aware that the attitude of being non-affirmative and appreciative of the contributions of these different charisms, vocations, and ministries can lead to a diminishment of a good relationships, thus leading to the difficult and arduous task that our structures and processes demand. But there is hope, because the group sees our natural capacity as parish priests to immerse ourselves in their lives and present moments. Lumalapat tayo sa buhay nila, sinasamahan, at kinukumusta even before commanding them to do a task in the parish.

To what steps is the Holy Spirit calling us together?

To be a priest that is immersed with the people (isang paring lapat sa buhay ng tao); in other words, closeness to their lives is primary, then unity in diversity of different charisms, vocations, and ministries follows

We highlight the need for priests and lay faithful to journey together, fostering interreligious dialogue, and recognizing diverse talents to enrich the community. The reciprocal nature of service to the Church and God is underlined, with a focus on educating the faithful about their role in the Church’s mission. Effective ministry requires blending individual charisms to complement various tasks and responsibilities, ensuring that priests align each lay leader’s charism with their role.

--------

2nd round resonance

Sharer 1 We need to involve others to help the community by recognizing various vocations. Examining and appointing leaders based on their charisms, rather than solely relying on elections, can lead to more dedicated and effective leadership.

First Round of sharing

Charisms and gifts are experienced in Basic Ecclesial Structures. The BEC, being the Church in the ground level, reflects the parochial setting in the communities, therefore opens avenues for the faithful for communion, participation and mission. It is necessary to constantly provide formations of leaders to prevent the clericalism among the laity

Through the practice of the Basic Ecclesial Community (BEC) overall the diocese, as well as, in each commissions in the diocesan structure, Charisms are are manifested all the more in the missionary activities.

Somehow, Charisms may not always fully shared and utilize when there are conflicts in the leadership in the church. Woundedness among the church’s hierarchical structure may disrupt further advancement in manifesting charisms, or may hinder cooperation.

The parish priest as a ‘jack of all trades’.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS:

In my experience as a Parish priest, how have I experienced the participation of different charisms, vocations, ministries in the life of the parish or diocese? What insights and questions have they occasioned in me? In my local context what significant experience have we had of parish communities contributing to the life and mission of the church to which they belong? What have we learned from these experiences?

-TAKING THE WORD AND LISTENING

*Personally witnessed the giftedness of the laity since trainings are given to them especially the finance council and P.P.C

* There are creativities of the mother butler guild , by giving catechisms to children during Sundays

*The extra ordinary Ministers of the eucharist, are so very dedicated in serving , to the point of going the extra mile in giving the body of Christ to the sick members of the community

*Utilized and tapped the help of talented and skilled youth in the parish

*The presence and existence of devoted Catechists gives life to the Parish

* There is the involvement composed of the different sectors and levels of society

* In the Seminaries, there is the movement of decentralizing formation "enlarging the space of your tent" wherein the is no longer the formator who evaluates but also the formandis,

Hence it addresses clericalism

* Exposed to the different renewal movements in the Church especially the neo-catechumenal community, this is a small community with a rich spirituality and charisms especially on reconciliation, fraternal correction

* The Church is very rich with charisms and vocations we just have to discover it,

Surprisingly these faithful arises during difficult times especially during calamities, and during disasters there are many that are willing to give themselves, in the service of others.

We just have to tap them, even though some struggles in poverty but they have always something to give to the Church

MAKING SPACE FOR OTHERS AND THE OTHERS

*We need our laity to fulfill our mission in the Church, we just need to discover , the richness of charisms in the Church

* Lay people are not threat to us but they are more of collaborators . . when the Priests and Bishops are replaced in a diocese /parish , the laity continues and sustains the ministries of the Church. If there is no continuity and support from the priests, these charisms will die eventually.

* Understood that the small communities may be a good starting point for the renewal and growth of the parish but if there is no support from the parish priest there will be no continuity

* Attracted and compelled to the social action ministries since this is an aspect lacking into so many dioceses and Parishes

* We could say that in the midst of the secular world, the mission of the Church is very much alive

* Reasonances with "Lay people are not threat but opportunities"

They are not just opportunities but a gift to the Church,

*Importance of giving space for them to work in the Church to develop and showcase their potentials.

BUILDING TOGETHER: TO STEPS IS THE HOLY SPIRIT CALLING US TOGETHER

*We must institutionalize or establish the charisms of the laity to ensure continuity of the ministries in the Church

* The Spirit is calling us to be grateful and to appreciate the gift of the laity

*It is good to recognize the beautiful charisms in the diocesan levels and establish a directory in order to know the giftedness of our people , and to be able to utilize them when there is a particular need in the Church

*The holy spirit calls us to have a good relationship with the lay people , especially organizing "team-building activities"

* The holy spirit is leading us to be sensitive to the needs of the people especially the present needs of society, the priest should initiate the call for help especially in social media

*The holy spirit leads us to a better understanding of ourselves and our chosen vocation,

* Despite the status of the laity and they can still contribute to the Church

* The Holy Spirit leads us to be open, both Priests and Laity, so the wounds of conflict and misunderstanding will eventually heal.

*The holy spirit reminds us to be humble , and to find the movement of the spirit in our people

Fruits:

  1. INITIATIVE OF THE LAY FAITHFUL.

It is REWARDING enough to know and witness the participation of the lay faithful through their INITIATIVES not just through financial aspect but with this beautiful offer that they have which is very important to be recognized: the MAN-POWER. However, one thing that we pastors should be aware of are our own INSECURITIES (that are sometimes uncrontollable) to the initiative and of what the lay faithful could accomplish.

  2. BECOMING AN ALL-EAR PASTOR.

It is good to realize how important the participation and cooperation of the lay faithful because of the fact that however good we are as a priest, sometimes the primary sources and initiative do manifest and comes from the lay faithful. And one among the things that a pastor should be concerned of is the presence of competition of the lay faithful among themselves. It is for us pastors to become also the agent of the ministry of presence in order for them to be enlightened. Must be an all ear pastor.

  3. THE TRADITION OF SPIRITUAL PARTICIPATION.

It is important to adopt the good practices and examine some other traditions of the lay faithful since it serves as their humble participation. The good tradition and practices are present already so a reciprocated participation of the pastor must also be present (example: kapag may namamatay, lahat sa community dapat present sa huling gabi): it highlights the apostolate of presence, showing empathy, becoming one with them.

  4. DIALOGUE IN PARTICIPATION.

A humble act of dialogue is important for the safety also of the Pastors, most especially if the area of the parish is situated in a Muslim Area and other religion. This was realized because of the fact that priests cannot achieve the mission, plans and programs alone. One necessary thing also is that a pastor must not be deceived by the members of the lay faithful entering the Church: a Pastor must have a macro and micro view of the situation and of the needs of the faithful.

  5. TRANSITIONS IN PARTICIPATION.

A pastor adjusting from an old to new assignment must be aware and considerate also of the Lay faithfuls' adjustments, updating, and spiritual transitions since they affect how we experience their participation through their different charisms. Nandoon po kasi ang linyang, "Naiba na pala?" One of the possible actions or steps that will make them realize that they are part of the Church journeying is by discovering and encouraging them to become part of the different ministries that we have in our parishes. Halimbawa: ang mga youth po natin sa parokya ay hindi basta basta member lang ng youth, for a deeper spiritual growth, dapat sila din po ay may partikular na ministries.

Resonace:

This is about becoming "All to All". A "discerned becoming all to all". If the faithful can offer everything through Communal discernment and so too all priests.
