During this time period, anyone not deemed as “perfect” were meant to be eliminated. This included anyone that did not fit the mold, people of targeted ethnicities, sexualities, and disabilities. This greatly impacted Jewish people, the Nazis biggest victim. During this section of the memoir Elie Wiesel was speaking to God talking about some of the experiences he and other people were going through. It was beyond cruel and unfair the way they were treated. Although not mentioned in that specific text, the people put in concentration camps were put through medical experiments and were pushed beyond human limits.

They are targeting Uyghurs, who are mostly Muslism and also other minority groups in Xinjiang. The crimes included torture, imprisonment, forced labor, and persecution. However, in coordination with international partners, the United States condemned the PRC’s abuses in Xinjiang in the UN Human Rights Council and UN General Assembly.

I'd assume that after what happened after Holocaust and concentration camps that we all as the human race would morally agree to not put each other through that again.
