There are only about 1,000 living species of gymnosperms, whereas there are hundreds of thousands of living species of angiosperms. Most modern gymnosperms are trees with woody trunks. The majority are conifers such as pine trees."
I chose this because it shows the two major classifications of seeds and it a good starting point to understand all the different types of seeds.

 According to this site, there are seeds for cereal plants, fruit plants, vegetables, grass, herbs, seeds eaten raw (edible), cooked seeds (edible), beverage seeds,  bird feed seeds,  and many many others.
