I did an Ice Breaker activity during morning meeting to encourage discussion and participation such as "If you could only pick one food group to eat, what would that be?" Students answered by completing the sentence, "If I could only eat one food group, it will be _______, because________." A picture of different food groups was presented as visual reference. Another day was a Show and Tell of their favorite stuff toys and why they like it. At least 90% of students participated.

I used Flocabulary, BrainPOP, Nearpod, and Epic during AMI. Plus actively monitoring students through Go Guardian makes AMI a success. Students who prefer to work in a more quiet environment, were assigned an individual Breakout room.

I really liked using the website with the Whiteboard that Dr. Allen shared on her newsletter. I was able to show examples of the math we were reviewing and type out sentences for the students to edit.

GoGuardian, the students could access the chat with me and I had one or two get disconnected during breakout rooms we could chat through there and I could tell them the next steps.

They also did a great job navigating Google Classroom to find resources posted there.

During the first AMI, I realized students were having trouble accessing Savvas in the afternoon for Science due to us logging on in the morning for Math. I know this is a security thing and they just needed to exit out of any open Savvas and it would get them back on but I made adjustments during the first AMI and had multiple backup options for the rest of the AMI days.
