The meme will serve as an exhibit where I will analyze why it perfectly illustrates the devastation one will come to realize when they are cursed with living near the beautiful, yet dreadful, cows.

Immediately I think to myself that's easy Segundo is the best, I can make so many good points. I get to writing for the contest, hoping I will be the winner and include the meme about the cows for creativity right next to my claim about why Terceo is not the best. The meme will become supplemental to my argument, providing reinforcement to my claim, that Tercero is not the best section to live in due to the dreadful smell of the cows.

My cousin is applying to UC Davis and I receive an email from her asking what the pros and cons of each living area are. I tell her that I am living in Tercero, and so far, my experience has been positive: the food at Latitude is good, and Tercero is near all of my classes. However, I tell her that the negative thing about living in Tercero is the smell of the cows. This meme will serve as an exhibit to demonstrate the emotional distress that comes with smelling the cows all day. I will use it to highlight the various pros and cons of Tercero in order to inform her and help her make a decision about which living area she would like to request.

Waking up everyday at Madrone Hall in Tercero looking out my window to the Tercero quad is a beautiful view. Getting ready for classes and heading towards Latitude to grab a quick snack. Then I ask myself. What is that smell? Then I realize that I am right by cows, the typical stereotype of UC Davis. Everyday leaving and coming back to my dorm, I always smell the horrid cow smell. The meme about the cows will serve as an exhibit of why getting into Davis will come with some negatives as well. The life in Tercero by the cows smells bad, but in the end, the pros outweigh the cons.

As I get up from my bed and get ready to start my day, I am always so thankful to have been placed to live in tercero. It's near the science buildings, have two great dining halls nearby, and a beautiful and active quad. It has very modern residence halls and is conveniently located to be a good distance from classes, the arc, food choices, etc. But some days as I walk from my dorm hall to the dining commons I smell a very strange and strong odor. Then I remember, the cows. Their odor always seems to be stronger during the day as well. Living in tercero is very convenient and it is a great place to live, but like everything it does have its cons. This particular meme exhibits one of those cons.

As soon as my time slot starts, I open up the portal to find that I'm assigned to Scrub Oak Hall in Tercero. I remember that my family friend constantly complained about the smell of cows right next to his dorm in Tercero. I start immediately texting my friends that I have to live right next to the cows and they laugh that I'm attending college in "cowtown." I send this meme to joke along with them, but I know that Davis is still an amazing college and I'll eventually get used to the smell of cows. The meme serves as an exhibit where I express my mixed emotions about my housing assignment and attending a great university.

I immediately send her this meme, as we both know that UC Davis is known for its cow smell. I then tell her that I do love it here in Tercero. I tell her that it's relatively close to all of my classes, even if I do walk to class rather than bike. I also tell her that all of the dorm buildings seem great and they're close to a lot of different places to eat on campus. The conversation inevitably turns back to the subject of the cows. I think back on the lovely cows. They are only a short walk away, I could go see them anytime I feel like it. I quickly tell her that I absolutely love living by the cows. I tell her that I don't see what the big deal is about the smell, because I've only noticed it a few times, and even when I could notice it, it wasn't nearly as strong of a scent as people made it out to me. In this context, the meme is used as a background source, where I treat the fact that Tercero is known for its cow scent as common knowledge.

One day I went to the school basketball court and found that there was a unique smell. I found that there was a bad smell in the area around the Cowshed next to the basketball court. The meme will serve as an exhibit to play basketball needs to endure the bad smell. Although the smell is bad, the facilities of the basketball court are very good, and because the smell is bad, it can make more people wear masks to play basketball Reduce Covid-19 spread. Therefore, my argument is that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, so the method is that wearing masks to play basketball will reduce the smell.

I told my parents as I was screaming from the top of my lungs, and then I texted my friends telling them I got into my dream school. Then one of my friends asked which dorm I would want to live in because she knew I did research on the dorms before I got my acceptance letter. I told her I wanted to live in a double in Segundo because it won't smell like cows there. When I got my dorm assignment later in the year, I sent this meme to my friend because I ended up getting a triple in Tercero. I also ended up in Laben Hall, which is the closest to the cows. I begin to tell them about all the great places to eat down town and then I have this obscure memory of me walking to the cows with my friends freshman year on a Saturday night. After re-imagining this fond memory I begin to tell them cow people call UC Davis "Cowtown." Knowing that it would humor them I explain to them how we only have one small dairy on campus and people really make a big deal about the fresh smell of manure when the wind picks up. Coming from a town this is in the heart of agriculture for the state of California we can point in any direction drive a couple miles and there is either a dairy, ranch, or farm. Growing up we were known as Cowtown and the smell of manure was the smell of home for my friends and I. This meme would be used as an exhibit as I can explain to them exactly how students at Davis feel toward the cows and their fresh smell of manure.

"What should I do if I smell cow dung at night?" Even my high school classmate from other schools were asking me if there were cows near my dormitory. Through the window I saw dozens of cows walking on the grass across the road. The mess of grass and manure gave me a visual sense of the stench. When I found my room, it was in the dormitory next to the cow shed and the corner of the dormitory closest to that direction. Because I live in Cuarto, I'm sort of isolated off campus where it is more surrounded by apartment buildings and streets. However, upon going to dining halls and classes that are in the central part of campus, I started to smell a wretched odor that seemed to permeate itself all over campus. Now everyday that I walk to my classes, I'm always met with this atrocious smell of manure. Then I started to realize that now I'm getting the true "cowtown" experience.
