High School STUCO has a meeting with Mr. Munro on a monthly basis. We would like to know what you are unsatisfied with or anything you would like the school to continue doing. We will bring these requests directly to the HS office so please let us know specifically what you would like to improve or change about school systems or anything else. We want to this community and learning environment to satisfy your needs; therefore, please provide us with concise information! Updates from the meeting will be sent through class chats. Thank you.

The school has stopped allowing students to order food and yet maintains the quality of food the same. One of the major reasons that students order lunch instead of getting them from the cafeteria is that its much cheaper, and of better taste. If the school expects and wants its students to stop ordering food, I as a consumer and a student believe that lunches should be of better taste and pricing. The truth of the matter is that, if students had had no problems with the quality and pricing of the food within the cafeteria, there probably would have been less to no orders anyway. If it truly is the wish of the school for us to eat healthy, the school must recognize that the problem is not with the students ordering food, but t

If we want to maintain a healthy learning environment where students can rely on their teachers instead of on their peers and their tutors to get proficient in certain subjects, I feel like this school would be much better off. Thus, I think the administration should focus their attention towards improving teaching quality, and in particular pay attention to complaints filed by both parents and students. It's important not to remain insular.

This year we are using the OPVL source analysis form (Origin, Purpose, Value and Limitations) which the same as the structure we used last year, which was the CRAAP test (Currency, Relevance, Authority, Accuracy, and Purpose). Revising old curriculum like this serves no purpose and isn't engaging.

There are no shortage of students who end up in the gray area between Chinese B HL and A SL, and yet end up without a choice just because of their original course selections, which was set in stone in the beginning anyways.

It's been a notoriously infamous system for parents and students alike, with them bringing this up and being repeatedly shot down. A new system should be established to circumvent this academic turmoil; this is a issue that should not be avoided and be addressed and debated directly.

The student magazine should reflect what students think, not what the school wants the parents to see. I hope ISB could become more democratic and accept its deficiencies. That is the only way to improve as a school.

But i heard other schools are allowed to order and the teachers say that they are allowed to order for a “large group of ppl” which i dont think makes any sense. The reason ppl order food is because the quality of the school food is very bad but expensive. If the school wants us to buy food from the cafeteria they should start making good food. They should also consider lowering the price.

ISB should start hiring teachers that actually know stuff and can teach. I know that the school has already received many complaints from parents and students about certain teachers. During middle school it might be okay if the teacher isn't that knowledgeable but during IB years that is not acceptable. If ISB really wants students to be successful and have a better school life, like they always say, they should be more strict when hiring teachers.

I believe it is extremely unfair if students’ grades are heavily dependent on teacher’s style of grading. Students who take the same course might get different assessments or get assessed with different standards depending on which teacher they get. This means even though students take the same assessment, some students might have a higher chance of getting good grades than other students. For instance, some students were allowed to read off from their notes while presenting FOA while others were strictly prohibited to do so. This is very unfair since some group of students were way more advantaged than the others. In addition, these assessments take crucial parts in students’ IB grades which means teachers should be fair in grading as much as possible. There are similar cases in other subjects such as students getting a different amount of assessments depending on who they get as their teacher. Therefore, teachers who teach the same subject must agree on their ways of grading and giving out assessments.

However, what is the reason why students cannot show their midriff or wear ripped jeans?

Last semester, when the school decided to change flex time into Dragons time, students were told that this change has been thoroughly discussed with ISB students and parents. In reality, many of them had never heard of it and were forced to follow the school’s implementation of the brand-new and extremely confusing schedule. ISB claims to be a school that listens to what students and parents request. However, that does not seem to happen at all. If the school is trying to make a huge change in their system, shouldn’t they listen to their students first and ask what their opinions are? What school may think is good for the students might not turn out to be beneficial in real life. Asking students and parents before making an important decision will not only allow the school to minimize discomfort and potential problems, but also gain trust from them. Please remember that students and parents take the essential part of the ISB community.

Even if we do give feedback regarding new changes, e.g. Dragon Time, our feedback is never implemented or considered. It’s like a complaint box that never gets opened.

look at this pile of stuff what is going on some? might ask. basically isb is making the worst of the worst decisions. as a "leader to make change" they made some real unnecessary changes. dragon time for example messed up a lot of schedules. just use the old system why is it that bad? you say government does not allow people to order food but the teachers are allowed to order food? this is student discrimination, total discrimination. study spaces are a issue that happened after I left, it should be normal as before now it is a pile of 🤬. dress code you say? as a school they need to decide on what is appropriate to wear but sometimes the school may need to change to adapt to evolve. now what is going on with the teaching quality? listen to the feedback don't push it away. some people depend on this to make the school a better place. I do suspect a level of corruption inside the offices of isb. the food you want us to eat the school food made so expensive and so inedible but you ban delivery? how are you gonna expect the learning to be good? as many say. a good meal may make up for the feelings of that day. maybe someday everyone will eat home lunch or stay hungry in protest of lower School meal prices. oh to fit the students taste buds you say? your going the wrong way my friends. instead of improvement, you focus on innovation and inspiration, what is the point to do that? as a school that said to be non profiting, where are you spending the money supposed to make the school a better place? wait you tell me buildings??? no stop doing the wrong things. expanding school facilities are ok, but not during the circumstances that you are making the student's lives worse while trying to figure out ways for profit you dullard "nonprofit" school.
