There are many human impacts, one of them being that the world spends 5.7 trillion dollars on technology in 2025 with a projected 9.8% increase from 2024. This is bad because people might want to spend it on more important issues like no water in Africa and homeless people in the U.S. Another human impact is 62 million tonnes of E-Waste per year with an 82% increase from 2010. This is bad because there is too much E-Waste and that will overfill landfills in a second causing people (lazy as they are when it comes to this matter) to put it in oceans. The last human impact is devices that can hurt and possibly damage the brain. This is bad because humans will get nowhere if their brains are damaged.

There are many environmental impacts, one of them being phones and computers use 3% of world gold and silver output, 13% of palladium, 15% of cobalt. This has environmental impacts because getting these resources uses machines that pollute the environment. Another environmental impact is that computers contain many different toxic substances. Which can pollute and damage the environments that they are around. The last environmental impact is that people might start opening burning them. This is bad for the environment because open berning might get out of control and burn the environment.

How can we solve this problem?

There are many ways to solve this problem, one of them being we can adopt and enforce high-level agreements. This will help because there will be more restrictions on where E-Waste gets put. And restrictions on how many devices people can buy at a time. Another solution for this problem is, Put health protection measures into law. This will help because scavengers (people who sort through E-Waset to get the good parts) will get more health protection so they won't die as much on the job. The last solution for this problem is, assining designated people monitoring and managing e-waste sites. This will help because it will help the flow and tell citizens to throw away E-Waste and how to do it properly.

Since I was very young my parents did not like technology and I am starting to see why. With all this evidence that technology is not that good for humans, and the environment. I think of myself as not extremely attached to technology and I will start to hold back on buying new technology and throwing away old technology. In fact i have already started, i dont have the very expensive iphone 16 instead i have a iphone se that i got from my grandfather
