How have prophets helped your faith in the Savior increase? What recent prophetic messages have helped you better understand the nature of God and Jesus Christ? Prophets have helped me to increase my faith since all the messages they share during the general conference or in the book of Mormon make me feel the spirit and confirm their words, which are from revelation and a divine precedence. A recent message from our prophet Russel M. Nelson made me understand the importance of having a holy mindset, in that way It will be easier to face controversy or opposition and also It motivates me to visualize my eternal rewards.

What can you learn from the examples of Lehi’s sons that can guide your responses to prophetic teachings? When have you received a witness of a prophet’s call or of a prophet’s message?

Nephi is amazing for me, he is an example of a disciple of Jesus Christ. Nephi always accepted the will of our Heavenly Father and prayed to know what to do according to it. Furthermore, I would like to receive the inspiration and the revelation as he did. I would like to be as obedient as him and to trust more in the Lord.

If I am being honest, the last time I received a witness of a prophet's message was the last time when our prophet suggested to us to be more obedient and to study come follow me at home, then, the pandemic started and I felt grateful for knowing that our Heavenly Father loves us that enough to care about our spiritual well being.

Choose one or more of the following examples of a prophet delivering a message from the Lord. As you study, look for how the people responded. Identify principles you learn about responding to prophets. Consider writing the principles you find and bringing them to class.

During the story of king Benjamin, people recognized that he was a man, however he always asked for the help of the Lord and he became a holy man.

People could feel the spirit of Benjamin, they could perceive he served the Lord with his soul and entire body. King Benjamin always encouraged their people to ask if those teachings and revelations were true. He always invited people to open their ears and heart to receive and feel the holy spirit.

Think about the words Lehi used to describe the tree of life and its fruit. What do these words teach you about God’s love as shown through the gift of His Son Jesus Christ? The fruit is the happiness we obtain when we decide to follow the commandments of the Lord.

With the help of a family member or friend, identify some current examples of the “fountain of filthy water” , the “mists of darkness”, and the mocking of those in the great and spacious building.

The mists of darkness are the temptations that surround us. The spacious building represents the pride of the world. The fountain of filthy water represents the depths of hell.

In what ways is the word of God helping you come closer to the Savior and His atoning power? I am taking into account that every day is an opportunity to reflect about the position we played in Lehi's dream. According to our attitudes we are able to identify if we are participating of the fruit or if we are being part of the spacious building.

Record some reasons you think personal scripture study should be a priority in your life.

The personal study in my life is essential since I need to reinforce my testimony of Jesus Christ. It is also useful for me to remember my value as a daughter of God, I want to get to know my Savior better and in that way, my Lord will show me the things he expects from me.

What have you come to know and feel about Jesus Christ as you have read the scriptures—especially the Book of Mormon? What specific passages have brought you closer to Him? During my personal study of the Book of Mormon I have felt the company of my Heavenly Father, It is a feeling of peace that I can not describe with words. Every day I feel the love of Jesus Christ and I reaffirm that this gospel is true, because I have felt it in my heart. One passage of the Book of Mormon that I really like is when Nephi asks to the Lord if the words of his father, Lehi are true and if he can receive understanding of it, then the Lord touches the heart of Nephi. I really wish to be like him, strong and unchanging in God's word.

Consider how the effects of the Fall are an essential part of God’s plan for His children. How does the Fall provide you the opportunity to progress spiritually and experience joy? The effects of the fall are an important part of God's plan since as his children, we could not progress in earth, we would not know good and evil. It helps me to experience joy because I know that I will face trials and challenges but I will always have the choice to stay in my Savior's path.

Think about choices you have made recently. How are these choices impacting your progression?

In my opinion, those choices are really going to help me to progress on earth since I want to be a better disciple of Jesus and God. It has not been easy to accomplish those goals but, starting with little things day by day will make the difference.

In what ways has the Atonement of Jesus Christ allowed you to learn from your choices? Sometimes we all made wrong choices but fortunately we have the knowledge that allows us to return to our Heavenly Father to experience forgiveness.

How does knowing that the Savior’s Atonement is infinite affect the way you understand and respond to your own struggles and concerns? Do you truly believe Jesus Christ’s infinite Atonement can help and save you?

It made me think of our Father in Heaven's love, since he already knew we will be tempted and gave his son and his atonement as a protection to scape from the evil. I truly believe that Christ's atonement is saving me from past mistakes I have committed and I have felt his love and forgiveness even when I can't forgive myself.

How can the teachings in Mosiah 3:19 bring you hope that you can make righteous changes and become more like the Savior? Being as a child is a great example of what we need to learn to become a better disciple of Christ and also to develop more attributes to be like him.

How does it help you to know that the Savior perfectly understands all of your afflictions and infirmities?

It encourages me to pray and express how I feel. Sometimes I consider that my problems are drowning me but when I think about my savior , It helps me to find peace in him.

When have you felt Him reach out to, comfort, or strengthen you as you have experienced challenges in your life? When I feel weak and hopeless I remember that Jesus knows and understands how I feel. Sometimes I like to think about a part of my patriarchal blessing where it says that I will face difficulties and It relieves me since my Heavenly Father and Jesus know that I am able to overcome those problems with their help and company.

How can having a correct understanding of the spirit world help you to make good choices? It encourages me to develop a spiritual mindset to look forward for the place where I want to be in the spirit world. It helps me to identify if my actions go according to the Lord`s will.

How can having a testimony of the Resurrection help you face the challenges of life with greater hope and courage? This life is an opportunity to follow the commands and the word of Jesus, as a consequence when I face challenges is an opportunity to demonstrate my faith and testimony.

After pondering Alma’s questions, consider how you might answer the following question from President Oaks: “If [you] knew that [you] would meet the Lord tomorrow—through [y]our premature death or through His unexpected coming—what would [you] do today?”

I am striving to be a better disciple of God. Nowadays I am changing some habits and implementing the daily study of the scriptures in my life, I am starting to redirect my life towards Jesus. These days I`ve been calm but I need to continue improving with this life style If I want to meet my Savior face to face.

What counsel might you give to someone who is discouraged because he or she has acted in faith but has not yet experienced the fruits of faith?

The results of faith do not come immediately, and as we read in this week, when we plant a seed we need to be consistent and take care of it, it is the same with faith, we need to continue trusting in the Lord.

How has acting in faith and planting Jesus Christ and His gospel in your heart influenced your testimony and conversion? As the scripture mentions, “If ye will have faith in me ye shall have power to do whatsoever thing is expedient in me” I have seen many blessings in my life, since I am striving to have a better performance in my call and as a disciple of Christ.

I like to think about the Zoramites, how they had to develop faith and humble themselves to the Lord to receive forgiveness.

Our Savior wants to forgive because this is one of His divine attributes.

am amazed at the Savior’s encircling arms of mercy and love for the repentant, no matter how selfish the forsaken sin. I testify that the Savior is able and eager to forgive our sins.

In what ways has participating in the Church helped you to come to Jesus Christ? By serving in my callings, I have discovered the gifts that my Heavenly Father had given to me. Being part of the church has allowed me to find a path and a guide to behave and keep myself save from the danger of the temptations.

Consider writing down a few actions you could take to make the sacrament and sacrament meeting the most sacred part of your Sabbath-day worship.

To understand the sacrifice Jesus made for us is an essential part to make it significant. Also, to reminisce all our actions during the week so we can repent and ask for a new opportunity to the Savior.

What can I do to be more inviting and inclusive to help God’s children feel they have a place in the Lord’s Church? To share my testimony, in my opinion it can invite others to find a place to belong.

What does it mean to you to know that Jesus Christ is extending His grace to you and has prepared a way for you to become like Him and His Father? I am a very perfectionist person and sometimes I feel frustrated if I don’t get to achieve my objectives but the plan that my Heavenly Father has for me reconfortas me and helps me to understand that I need those bad experiences to improve and become better someday.

Ponder the life of the Savior. What can you learn about humility from Him? Be prepared to share an example in class. My Savior was a person who did not care about materialism, he cared more about the gospel of God and he tried to spread it.

He focused more on loving others and he did not obsessed on himself even if he knew he was the chosen to develop the work of God. As he did, I need to be ready to serve in the work of God.

Anything that opposes Christ or His doctrine will interrupt our joy. That includes the philosophies of men, so abundant online and in the blogosphere.

What are some modern-day examples of the false ideas taught or approaches used by the antichrist in this account? Nowadays the world offers attractive ways to have fun, people think that we are boring or that as members of the church we don’t know how to have fun without dangerous substances.

How does Satan spread these ideas in our day? With popularity, validation in a social group etc.

What are some principles or practices you learned from the faithful example of the person who confronted the false messages? (List at least three.) How might someone today use these principles and practices in responding to false doctrines and accusations? I would say that faith is one of the most important principles to face false doctrine, another thing is the constant study of the gospel because it can help to re insure the knowledge and the testimony that we have of it.

What can you learn about obedience from the example of Jesus Christ? Jesus Christ is a perfect example of obedience since even if he was a perfect mortal, he understood the importance of making convenants with our Heavenly Father. He is a role model for me because he always taught the gospel of his father and spread that with his perfect example.

Based on what you have learned about obedience in this lesson, what advice would you give to someone who is struggling to keep the commandments? Remember the promises that our Heavenly Father has promised for us, even when it seems difficult to keep in the right path, pray to obtain guide.

In what ways can seeking to understand the Lord’s eternal perspective on trials help us reframe how we see our own trials? Sometimes we do not see what our Heavenly Father wants us to learn but if we seek and ask him for guide can help us to develop a celestial mindset.

Using what you have learned from the experience of Limhi’s people, record principles about how the Lord supports or delivers those who turn to Him in their trials. Be prepared to share these principles in class.

The challenges and difficulties were not immediately removed from the people. But Alma and his followers were strengthened, and their increased capacity made the burdens lighter.

Reflect on the different ways Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have increased your capacity to bear your burdens. Consider expressing your gratitude for Their help in prayer.

Jesus Christ have increased my capacity to pray and to ask for his help. I am grateful for all the miracles that he has shown to me.

What did Nephi trust and believe about God that increased his capacity to receive personal revelation? He asked the lord to soften his soul to understand what he wanted from him for his work. Nephi was also a prophet for his family.

What have you done in the past that has most helped you to receive revelation? What additional steps could you take to increase your capacity to receive revelation? Reading the Book of Mormon has helped me to understand and apply its teachings in my life. I have also learned to pray more sincerely and to recognize the impressions of the Holy Spirit.

To increase my capacity of revelation I am writing a journal to analyze the principles of this book and to know how can I serve in the work of God.

What lessons have you learned or what blessings have you received as you have remained faithful during times of struggle? How can this type of experience help you draw closer to Jesus Christ?

I once had a bad experience at school, at first I felt really guilty and sad because I was not brave enough to stop it but fortunately I did not participate in any risky situation . I prayed to the Lord to avoid or evade that temptation but in my opinion I had to be there to identify and to know what good and bad mean. After that experience my spirit was low and I felt an immense sadness but I knew that even if I was there, my faith did not decreased.

1. How did the individual or people exercise faith in Jesus Christ? What blessings and divine power did the Lord provide after they exercised faith in Him?

   People exercise faith when they pray to receive revelation or guide. We increase our faith when we participate in the sacraments and remember all the convenants we’ve made with him.

2. What principles or practices can you learn from this account? How can you apply them to your life? Faith is an essential element of the plan of God, in my life I have had to apply my faith in different situations and sometimes it is not that easy but the prize is immense.

What blessings have or could come into your life as you have centered your faith and hope in Jesus Christ? I have received peace and a better understanding of my convenants.

What can you do to make hope a more active part of your daily life? Praying has become an essential part in my life, since I know that my Heavenly Father knows what I expect, even if sometimes it does not get better, my hope and faith in him do not decrease .

What can you do to more earnestly seek the gift of charity and develop Christlike love for others?

Pray for everyone even for the ones who have made me feel sad. Charity involves to care of others, help and support them.

Who needs to feel the Savior’s love through you? What can you do to help this person feel His love? I think a great thing I can do is to write the name of that person in the temple prayers.

How has building your foundation on Jesus Christ helped you to withstand the storms that have come into your life? Building my foundation in Christ has given me peace, even when everything is going wrong I can trust my Heavenly Father and my Savior.

Think about what you can accomplish with the Lord’s enabling power, or grace. What are you doing to invite the Lord’s grace and help in your life? I have seen miracles and prayers that are almost immediately answered. I am inviting the lord by reading my scriptures and by sharing my testimony with my friends.

I think words are not enough to describe the joy and happiness I have felt after reading the Book of Mormon, I have experienced difficult moments but I consider that I would have not been brave enough if I hadn’t read the Book of Mormon. I have lived powerful experiences where I hav felt and seen the power of God and where I have felt the never ending love of Jesus.
