One of the most common ways was through protests (images 1, 2, 3, and 5). Protests against war had been much more prevalent at the time due to a multitude of reasons. One of the reasons was because this had been one of the first American wars that had been fully photographed. Another had to do with how the war was portrayed to the public. Most people at the time thought that the war was more than suspicious and may have had ulterior  motives. One of the main ways is through propaganda (images 1-5). This propaganda focused mainly on striking fear into people (as seen in images 1 and 3). This usually involved portraying various communist people committing heinous acts.
