she is really opening up to him, see another side of her

he admits to her that they aren't going to be together and she brushes it off.

stage directions show she is more herself unconscious relates to a machine because it is more natural and she is doing it subconsciously and it is natural because its just happening. 
this is the first time you see the 'real' her.
she also has a genuine interest in him because she is talkative and asking him lots of questions..
there is also a foreshadow of her husbands death because the white lily is a flower often appearing at funerals.

keeps mentioning the future 
she comes back to reality when she looks at him with tears in her eyes because she realises this is probably the last time she will see him and be this free and like herself.
she wants the lily to remind her of the night.
stage directions make it seem like she actually has control and dominance for once.
there is another sound transition but this time it goes to silence.
