I left at midnight after doctor's Cable instructions. I wasn't ready to leave. In my head, I was still betraying my friend's trust for another one and was going to turn pretty. For the first clue, it didn't take me long to realize the coaster was the roller coaster where we hung out. The gap was the important part and passed it by jumping over it. FJ

I had been traveling for only 3 days and my hoverboard was a lot faster than most so it was probably time for the next clue. I attentively looked at the two rivers which one was the one I despised? Then I rememberd when Shay and I were talking about pretty morphos I mentioned how I hated my right side. It was a very important conversation we had together so it was the kind of thing Shay would remember. Therefore, I took the right side of the river . So I got on the shore to look for clues. I inspected the flowers, they were very beautiful but there were no bug eyes to be found. Tired after a long night I decided to make a camp. I examined the sky to make sure there were no dangers around me and then I went asleep and when I woke up the world was on fire. I ran to the river my lungs were full of smoke I could barely breathe. I suddently realized that the flame were coming from the weird flying machine. I fell of my hoverboard and then in the water.When I got out of the water, I saw little human like figures coming out of the machine when climbed on my board they screamed «wait!» and as I leaned forward a face with huge eyes came up the water then I slipped and fell back in the water. After that, hands grabbed me and pulled me away from my board. They had Huge inhuman eyes, bug eyes. It didn't make sense. There isn't any fun on a roller coaster without twists and turns. It was hard to see in the damp darkness of the night, but I finally found a series of rectangles in a line and metal rails. I hoped the trip was going to go as smoothly as my board on this flat coaster. I sped up and was ambitious to see the sea just like when I was a littlie, camping with sol and Ellie.Then, I realized Shay gave me a warning. A huge rift opened up suddenly the ocean submerged me and I finally reached for the cliff. They were really nice to me and they were all new pretties. They got me in their flying machine. I really didn't understand their task so I asked them about it and they told me  that they were saving the world because this exact kind of flower was destroying it. Then he explained that in the Rusty age this flower was one of the most beautiful flowers in the world but then some Rusty messed with the gene to make the them propagate more easily but it became the ultimate weed and it's killing all the other plant species because there's too many of them, so their job is to contain the weed by burning it. Then they asked me if I was heading to the Smokes so they gave me a ride to a featureless desert of orchids that was apparently close to the Smoke. The whole area looked like a bald head like in Shay's clue so I waited alone on the hill totally exhausted. The pendant Dr. Cable gave me had survived I hoped for a moment that it wouldn't work but then I realized that my only way to of becoming pretty was that pendant. The only  thing left to do was to betray my friend... What would be the worst mistake? Jumping into the ocean or staying on my path? This mistake could cost me my life. I trusted Shay and went down on the board, but it went dead soon after. Thank god the river had been filled with metal deposits! I was safe for the moment.

I was happy to find Shay who greeted me with as much joy as I had. The Smoke was a completely different world and a new environment for me. There were new notions and concepts that I had never imagined like trading, work, vegetation and more. I saw magazines where Uglies were showed as if to be proud of their bodies and faces. I grew close to David too... The decision that at the beginning seemed clear to me was starting to change and I doubted a lot of things now. Seeing new people and living in the Smoke really changed my perspective of things now. FJ

Tally has people to lean on, but she has to realize that a strong bond between friends has to be reciprocal. Shay and David have trust in Tally, but she also has to trust them with her «secrets».
