So far, one of the lessons I learned in the subject Empowerment Technology is the types of web pages. Web pages are used to show information, blogs, etc. The first kind of web page is the web 1.0, it is also called stationary web page. It is a non-interactive, static page, and viewers of this kind of page only see what is inside the page. The website's contents are stored in files, many examples of Web 1.0 are personal webpage, encyclopaedias, newspapers, and blogs. However, it is evident that web 1.0 has its limitations and weaknesses, it cannot be manipulated by the users of the page, because of this, the rise of Web 2.0 has begun.

Web 2.0 or dynamic page is more interactive, it also lets user to create their own contents. Examples of dynamic pages are social media sites, video sharing sites, blogging sites, and microblogging sites. As the rise of technology and the internet continues, more individual's privacy are at risk.

This is the reason why Web 3.0 was created, its characteristics are it has dynamic pages, uses AI, and has more enhanced security than web 2.0 and 1.0. Examples of Web 3.0 are Facebook and Google.

The key lesson that I learned is the importance of these kinds of web pages. you can grasp more of the evolution of the internet and how it affects your online experience.

From our last discussion, I learned the top 5 ICT trends in the Philippines, namely: hybrid work, digital banking, hyperlocal markets, e-governance solutions, and lastly, gamification. Frankly speaking, I am not familiar with these terminologies; I just learned the meaning of them because of our last discussion. Surprisingly, I encountered these terminologies in my everyday life without noticing them. For instance, I did not know that I use gamification whenever I report in front of our class. Warm-up tasks such as Hangman, Charades, and 4 pictures and 1 word are considered part of gamification as they engage students like me to actively participate and also attract their attention. I also learned that apps such as G-Cash and Paymaya are considered digital banking as they are supervised by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). With digital banking, any bank branch is available and accessible 24/7.

In summary, the important lesson I have learned in this subject is that understanding these ICT trends makes our lives simpler by cutting down on the amount of manual work we have to do.

It is important for us to learn the types of social media because as we live in a world where modern technology is widely used and is becoming a necessity in one's life, we must be knowledgeable regarding these matters in order for us to use the skills we will attain in this subject to our strengths. Thus, making a society full of skillful individuals that can and will be able to keep up with the fast paced development of ICT.

Because of this, I am now aware of how the internet influences every aspect of my life. The internet has empowered me to take charge of my own learning and personal development in ways that were unimaginable before its widespread adoption. To sum up, the rise of the internet underscores the importance of staying informed and adaptable in an ever-evolving digital landscape.

This quote reflects how a government is when technology is integrated. Through our discussion, I learned that Electronic Government services deliver government services faster and easier like tax filing and payment, social security, business registration, health, report crime and so much more. It also disseminates information to citizens, businesses, and other sectors.

Since I was curious, I personally tried downloading the app and knew that it is powered by a strong and secured Electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) for identity verification and seamless transactions. This improved government effectiveness, enhanced transparency and less corruption. Since everything is automated, it can provide real time-monitoring systems that can be reported immediately when suspicious behaviour is detected, unlike face-to-face transactions.

Aside from that, ICT Projects has also been made by NGOs and LGUs which amplify the reach of advocacy campaigns to a larger audience thus creating a society with open-eyes. I believe that it made a positive impact on community development, response to disaster and social change. Some examples are:

With all these in mind, I am grateful that technology has been created and has been a part of our progress. It has made everything convenient, with just a simple tap at a cosy coffee shop or at the comfort of your home, you get to address your errands immediately. My heart celebrates a brighter future ahead.
