Halifax is a city with a marine climate, very similar to Seattle's. Seattle, which borders the Pacific ocean, is a perfect place to receive products from Asia. Halifax, on the other hand, is on the Atlantic ocean, the perfect place to receive products from Europe. Amazon has already sustained a large presence on the west coast, and putting HQ2 in Halifax will help do the same on the east. There is also currently 5 hectares of abandoned military space in Dartmouth, which is much much more than Amazon is asking for. Amazon is asking for 8 million square feet by 2027, but Halifax has 4 times that number right now. There is also an industrial park near Halifax's airport and major highways, that the city says Amazon could use for their warehouses.

Montreal is definitely the best option for Amazon's HQ2. It is in a great location, being less than 45 minutes from the airport, and halfway between Seattle and London. "Montreal's population is the most bilingual and trilingual in the country, which is invaluable for a company whose business model is based on differentiated local offerings, with many different languages, all over the world." (Globe and Mail). Montreal was the quickest city in Canada to fill all vacant engineering roles, taking an average of just 20.2 days. In comparison, Toronto takes an average of 41 days. When looking for a city to host the new headquarters, Amazon had a checklist of things they were looking for. Things like cultural diversity, capacity to provide skilled technical talent and much more. Montreal has all the things on this checklist, except a nonstop flight to Seattle, which can be easily fixed.

Location - Easy access to great lakes, farther away from HQ and near other major tech hubs like KW. Transportation - Located on the great lakes, which will provide cheaper shipping. BIGGEST SHIPPING AREA IN CANADA!
Market - Since it's near major cities lots more people will get faster shipping. Imagine shipping to Hamilton, Toronto, and the tri-cities.
Population - 2.3 million in a 48km radius.
Raw Materials - Hamilton is the city of steel and also receives lots of materials from one of the biggest ports in Canada.
Availability - Lots of water because it's on the great lakes, and also kind of near Niagara so lots of power.
Labour - 8 colleges and University's so tons of students for the work force.
Circumstances - Hamilton is already very industrial so it already has experience in putting up factories.
Dominick, Karissa, Ethan

This would help Amazon gain money and not lose any. It is also the least expensive city to operate a tech company so this would make more people want to work there.
Climate- They have many resources to ship things in all types of weather because they are so used to bad weather.

There is a large population in Toronto, and a lot of access to transportation which would make it easy to get supplies for there inventory. Toronto is ranked the fourth largest city, it is also in the middle of everything. There is the university of Toronto where the university kids will buy a lot of products of Amazon , Toronto is also on the shore of lake Ontario which would make it easier for shipping. Toronto population is 2.8 million. Being in Toronto amazon would have excess to the worlds talent with out having to compete with the tech giants like google and Facebook.

Also, if you work with Vancouver’s world class tech ecosystem you will be able to make far more innovations and create more eco friendly ways to deliver products to your customers. You also will be able to create and develop more and better ways for your customers to order products. Such as building a newer and better website.

Edmonton has a lot of colleges and universities, specifically the University of Alberta and NAIT , they have agreed to help improve Amazon's technology and this would also provide a lot of jobs for the community. There are a lot of skilled workers in Edmonton. There are also a lot of roads so it is easy to access and to transport things from that area and a lot of roads connecting Edmonton to other provinces and cities. They also produce a lot of cars and car products so Amazon would be able to ship without having to ship in cars. Edmonton Alberta also has international airports, so things can be very easily transported all over the world right from that location. Also, for the Edmonton is close to the US border so they can still easily ship a lot of places. It is also a large city, so there is a large variety of people in the population to work for and buy from Amazon. The cost for energy is 17.2 cents per kWh which is fairly decent.

Windsor is also right nearby Detroit, a large industrial city. In windsor, there are a lot of easy access highways making shipping and transportation a lot easier. Windsor has renewable energy sources. Windsor is know as the “#1 Best Small City in North America.” Windsor has Canada’s earliest spring therefore making the transportation smoother and faster. Windsor and Detroit are both accessible by a lot of different states and provinces, therefore adding a lot of potential employees. 76% of shoppers in Canada buy products online, and if Amazon were to relocate to Windsor, it would be easier to ship and transport in Canada and making it faster and more efficient for Canadians. Furthermore, if Amazon was in Windsor it would be accessible by a large population which is good for jobs and buying products.
