Jenne Mae A. Ramolete Humss b

Disaster Risk Reduction is all about finding ways to lessen the impact of disasters, whether natural or human-made. It focuses on being prepared, staying safe, and helping communities recover faster. As a HUMSS student, I will use what I’ve learned to spread awareness about disaster preparedness. I can help by sharing information, encouraging others to be ready, and supporting efforts to keep people safe. Applying arts like music and drama can make learning about disaster risk reduction more engaging. Songs can spread important messages, and drama can show real-life situations to help people understand what to do in emergencies. I realize that disaster risk reduction is everyone’s responsibility. The more we know and prepare, the safer we can be.

Disaster Risk Reduction is all about preparedness and cooperation. As a HUMSS student, my role is essentially important especially with my skills in communication, public service, leadership, and advocator is necessary for DRR. Aside from this, I hope everyone knew that cooperation is a must especially that this will act as one of the foundation to the successfulness and effectiveness of DRR. With our cooperation and teamwork we can spread awareness about disaster risks and help our community develop emergency plans. Moreover, with our cooperation, we can help our community avoid severe damages and protect ourselves from the harm and casualty caused by disasters. Applying arts, cinema in a form of short films, documentaries, and vlogs, we can raise awareness and influence the public to be part of disaster preparedness. Aside from this, cinema can be applied and use as an educational tools to teach everyone especially the youths about disaster risk. I realized that we should value more the plans created by DRR. I also realized how important cooperation is in this kind of situation. A simple cooperation will help save our lives.

BOGTONG, JULIA ALLYSON L.
