A ELA teacher is recruited by a mutual acquaintance named Al. Al wants Jake(Teacher) to save JFK from his assassination. AL reveals his secret about a portal in his very own restaurant. Neither men are sure why it is there or how it got there, because the rift is hidden in a cabinet. Al explains that every time you enter the portal and come back, 2 minutes of real time pass. This explains how Al had gotten so sick overnight. AL had been living life in the 50's and 60's trying to stop the assassination, Until he became to sick to continue. This is why Al needs Jake to continue on the mission. Along the way, Jake decides to prevent a father from murdering his family with a hammer.
