         <description><![CDATA[<p>Divide in 2 Civil Contracts,<b>C825 </b>(cover Dhoby Ghaut, Museum Convention Center and MIllenia stations) and <b>C824 </b>(cover Nicoll Highway and Boulevard stations). Nicoll Highway Station (NCH) is located below Nicoll Highway, directly fronting the Concourse building. There was a provision for the construction of Temporary Staging Area (TSA) for the purpose of launching of rails track and Electrical and Mechanical equipment through TSA shaft, which was the circular shape structure at the accident area. The site was grouped into 4 different zones i.e. Cut and Cover 1 (CC1), Nicoll Highway station (NCH), Crossover Box tunnel (XOB) &amp; Cut and Cover 2 (CC2). The collapse area occured within CC2 area, particularly the Type M2 and M3 area and terminating at the TSA Shaft. The critical area is at the Type M3 area where the surrounding ground collapsed into its excavation area. Due to this collapse, the Merdeka Bridge was isolated and a storm drain located south of the cut and cover tunnel was also damaged.</p>]]></description>
