Não existem certezas quanto ao caminho que a Indústria 4.0 tomará. Um dado frequentemente referido indica que, dentro de 10 anos, 60% das profissões existentes ainda não foram criadas nos nossos dias. 

De forma geral, acrescentam, há um foco muito grande nas Tecnologias da Informação. A questão central, explicam, passa por garantir “padrões mínimos comuns” nos currículos dos cursos, que permitam “às empresas e escolas profissionais a adaptação às necessidades do momento”.

No futuro, acrescenta a mesma fonte, haverá uma necessidade de técnicos de nível secundário. Ainda que muitas das novas profissões venham a exigir trabalhadores com formação superior (particularmente nas áreas de informática, matemática, ciência e engenharia).

Professions of the future are professional occupations on which there is a trend of great 

appreciation in the coming years and decades.
