During Spanish I, I was only aware of the present tense. I also learned about a type of verb that was a new concept, a reflexive verb, which is used when the direct or indirect object of a sentence is the same as the subject. I can talk about my daily routine and what I do to get ready for the day, my school and the classes I take, my apartment and what I do to clean it, my family and the nationalities within my family, how I spend my free time, shopping and which stores I frequent, and the various forms of transportation as well as what is needed to board them.    Mi escuela en España era pequeña. La clase de inglés y la clase de historia eran mis clases favoritas! Yo tomaba mucho tiempo prepararse para la escuela. Me desperté a las seis. Me despertaba a las seis todos los días. Primero, me lavaba la cara. Segundo, me vestía. Generalmente, me llevaba los pantalones y una camisa. Tercero, yo tomaba el desayuno. Yo comía los huevos y beber el jugo de naranja.
El apartamento
   Mi apartamento estaba en la calle principal. Limpiaba mucho mi apartamento! Me encanta limpiar! Yo usaba muchas cosas para limpiar el apartamento. Yo usaba una escoba y un recogedor para limpiar el piso. Usaba el cloro para limpiar el baño. Yo arreglaba los dormitorios todos los días. Yo ponía mi ropa en la lavadora una vez por semana.
Mi Familia
   En España, mi familia era muy grande! Tenía muchos hermanos y hermanas. Mis hermanos y hermanas nunca eran aburridos! Mis padres eran muy simpáticos. Teníamos un perro llamado "Buddy". Mi familia en España era colombianas, argentinas, y peruanas. Mi familia estaba bien educada!
El Tiempo Libre
   No tenía mucho tiempo libre. Sin embargo, pasaba tiempo con mis amigos! Mis amigos y yo íbamos de compras. Me encanta ir de compras. Yo iba a los mercados de pulgas y comprar muchas cosas. Yo caminaba con el perro todos los días. Mi familia y yo íbamos a restaurantes los fines de semana. La comida era delicioso!
La Comida
   Me gusta la comida! La comida en España es diferente que la comida en los estados unidos. Yo compraba comida en los mercados. La comida en España era fresca. Yo comía muchas frutas y verduras. Yo comía la carne a veces. Mi comida favorita era el arroz con pollo!
De Compras
   Los mercados de pulgas eran interesantes. Yo compraba mucho en los mercados de pulgas. Yo compraba la ropa hecha a mano. También compraba un collar para complementar la ropa nueva. Vi las cerámicas y las pinturas. Las pinturas eran decorativas y elegantes. 
La Comunidad
   No quería abordar el avión para ir a casa. Me encantaba mi tiempo en España! Me despedía de mi familia, era difícil. Tenía mucho equipaje! Tenía muchos regalos para los amigos y la familia. Yo compraba los regalos en los mercados de pulgas. 
   Fui enfermo en España. Tuve una fiebre y dolor de estómago. Mis padres tuvieron la medicina. Tuve la gripe. I noticed that the Spanish alphabet has more letters than the English alphabet, which has twenty-six. The Spanish alphabet is also pronounced differently than the English alphabet. English and Spanish are slightly similar because they both have Latin influences, which results in cognates. In Spanish, it is common to use an object pronoun even when the noun represented by the pronoun has already been stated. This is not done in English, and we would consider this to be redundant. Verb conjugation occurs in both languages. For example, we conjugate the verb "to be" in English. "I am" becomes "I was", "You are" becomes "You were", "He/she/it is" becomes "He/she/it was", etc. In Spanish, the nouns have genders. Apples, scissors, and moms are all feminine nouns. In Spanish, the noun usually precedes the adjective. It would certainly be useful. If I continue to study the Spanish language, I hope to learn more tenses, such as the future tense. I also hope to further advance my vocabulary to include more topics. I would also like to learn more specific terms.
