Maria Montoya Martinez are the one of their generation, made a black ceramic in a style called BLACKWARE ceramic style.The BLACKWARE ceramic style is a post-colonial European style ceramic with beautiful patterns, and the BLACKWARE ceramic style does not abandon the original form of pottery made by the Ancestral Puebloans, but is made by pouring black dye on it. Therefore, the pottery made by Maria Montoya Martinez is a mixture of both styles.
