I used to watch a serial called Castle on television and there was an episode where the main character’s daughter spoke to one of the prisoners in jail. She sat on the outside and the prisoner sat on the inside. It reminded me of when Steve spoke to his dad and they were also sitting on different sides of the table. Also, the serial is mainly about two detectives who solve murders in every episode and they do many things that are common to the book.

Steve is on trial for murder. To get his mind off of the fact that he is in jail he starts writing a journal but ends up writing a movie script instead. The title of the movie will be Monster because that’s what everyone calls him. Everyone already has their mind set that Steve is guilty but he remembered that he can’t make his film predictable. Steve would be considered as lucky if he gets full life in prison, so he can’t really win in this situation. Wendell Bolden gives Zinzi information about the cigarettes that were given to him by Bobo Evans and Zinzi will try to use that information to get out of jail. Steve says he’s innocent but Kathy O’Brien tells him that the jury knew he was guilty the moment they saw him because he’s Black, he’s young and he’s on trial. Later, Osvaldo Cruz, a 14 year old boy, was also questioned because he participated in the robbery. He says that he got involved in the crime because he was scared of the people who were committing the crime. He wasn’t afraid of fighting a member of the Diablos, he wasn’t afraid of cutting a stranger in the face or beating up his girlfriend, but he was afraid of Bobo Evans, James King and Steve Harmon.
