This story was something they could relate too - Thanksgiving. Where are they and how do we find them? We also are wondering how to catch-up students who are absent without having to reteach the entire lesson - because time is crunched? Most students who are absent frequently are our struggling students and need the most attention. We are wondering how to help a student whose reading is at a first grade level?
