I showcased how the term expressive cultivates in a calm, but very varied set of shapes and colours. The blue lines surrounding the shape represent how expression impacts the world around us. Expression of ones self is how you interact with the world around you.
Vibrant: In this experiment I use an extensive amount of colours, the word vibrant to me indicates a colourful chaotic mess of beauty. Alternative: In this experiment, I utilised bright colours that reminded me of being different. I used sharp, harsh lines and forms as the word alternative inspires me to think of being erratic or hard to follow. Overall I wanted to evoke a feeling of standing out and being mismatched, which is why I have blocked the colours into different sections. Having almost all of my social interactions be online made me feel just out of reach of the people around me. As if we were so close yet still so isolated, this is why I chose to express the world isolation through a series of circles that are just nearly touching.
Crowded: Personally, I hate being in crowded places, so I chose to express this word through overlapping, spiky shapes. The spiky shapes represent my feelings for the word 'crowded', its a spiky situation that I prefer to avoid. The overlapping of the shapes is the purest representation I could come up with to showcase the word.
Wistful: The word wistful made me think of flowing, soft shapes. This image was created by photographing through a crystal, which creates flares and streams of colour throughout the image which further represents my vivid, transformative and expressive identity. Even while the entire image is distorted, my face is still clearly visible, clearly highlighting my identity while being surrounded by alternative and transformative forms.
