Please also include a picture or GIF to further describe this quote. </p><p><br/></p><p>The family is still on the run and as the family goes over railroad tracks our main character goes flying out of the car into the dark desert. after this happens she sits on the railroad in the desert night waiting for her family to come back. as her father pulls up and kneels to the ground she says.</p><p>"I thought you were going to leave me behind"</p><p><br/></p><p>This shows maybe that she doesn't have all trust in her family while going through with all of these issues like running from the debt collectors.</p><p> </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>What feelings or emotions does this book evoke for you?</p><p><br/></p><p>the books shows the emotion of sorrow for me a lot with also the feeling of heroism because our main character always tells us on how she always saw her dad as her hero in the story. Sorrow is being shown by just how her parents act in the book, for example her parents running out of the hospital with her to not pay</p><p><br/></p><p>What recurring patterns (repeated or related words, images, etc.) can you find?</p><p><br/></p><p>In the book you can always find the family running.</p><p>in the start of the book they were seen running out of the hospital and then after that they are on the run from debt collectors.</p><p><br/></p><p>Is there a relationship between the beginning and the end of the story?</p><p><br/></p><p>I think that our main character and her father have a strong relationshi throughout the book and it is shown how they are there for each other.</p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

Your responses should thoroughly respond to the prompt in at least three sentences. </p><p><br/></p><p>What recurring patterns can you find?</p><p>the family is always running from something to somewhere.</p><p>for example them leaving their old town to go to some old mining town just because of debt collectors or shortage of money.</p><p><br/></p><p>Choose a significant event that occurs in your reading. What do you think the author's purpose was in telling that part of the story?</p><p><br/></p><p>when rex leaves the kids at home unattended and the kids find a shed to play in just for them to light it on fire.</p><p>rex came home to find his kids trapped in a burning down shed. this shows how rex is really actually failing to be a good father.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>What tone and mood are created at various parts of the work?</p><p>I think the mood sorrow is shown a lot.</p><p>after moving to the new town they have said how they think the house is run down and how it used to be a part of a train station. it is also shown in the book how they have no money for food and their mother has no desire to cook for them.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>]]></description>
