6 Hours Before The World May Change Forever.

Hello. In six hours I will be riding inside the Apollo 11 rocket straight to the moon. Obviously, I'm very frightened, and who wouldn't be? I'm riding a glorified tin can that's propelling out of the Earth to a whole new place with who knows what types of creatures or beings dwelling on it. I will be one of the three men that will set humanity and history forwards in our thirst for discovery. Everything before this, even the military, was to build me up for the destiny I've been waiting for. Many have tried and failed to do what I have done, and may have died because of it, which is what might happen to me.

Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins, and I, Buzz Aldrin, have made it to the moon. This big, rocky satellite that has been taunting us for years to dwell on its surface has finally been satisfied, mankind changed this day, as did we. Everything up to this point, the challenges and pain I endured, has been satisfied. Every second in that tin can, all that stress, everything that happened in that tin can getting here, has been satisified. The Apollo 11 crew has made history today. We all made history today, as this was not a one man effort, but an effort that mankind itself had to fulfil with all it's might.

After more than eight days in space, we finally made it back to Earth. Although the moon was an amazing place to be, it could never beat being on Earth, the place I've known all my life. Everything I've experienced has been on Earth, and I don't know what I would've done if I hadn't been able to come back to it. After we landed back on Earth we were welcomed by everyone who helped us on the way. Everyone from all over the country welcomed us back from space with a smile and a handshake. Everything up to this point had been pure mayhem and stress, but I was glad that it was all over.
