1930 March to April, the Salt March Protest took place. During the march, thousands of Indians followed Gandhi from his religious retreat near Ahmedabad to the Arabian Sea. The purpose of the march was to the defy the British ruling where Indians were not allowed to collect or sell salt, which was a staple in the indian diet, and were forced to buy it from the British. The march ended at the sea where Gandhi made salt. I think this protest was a great way for the Indians to get the mineral as they had journeyed for a long time to get what they needed and therefore earned it. They forged till the sea to reap their reward. This a great way of protesting.
Link

The purpose of this protest was to get African Americans, their rights to freedom, jobs. To be equal with the White. Martin Luther King's " I Have A Dream" speech was about racial justice for everyone. This is a great way of protesting because it makes a point without having any violence, and gives people the knowledge that it is important for everyone to be treated equally.
Website link
