A crew is a team of people working together to i.e.-keep a boat or plane in order. A passenger would be someone who relies on the crew to get to their destination. Us, as a crew and class, must work together to carry ourselves to the destination because as students we have no other option. If everyone was a passenger we would never move forward. As a crew we can help each other through the rough waters and help our boat (class) stay afloat.

The leaders are the students in class who work hard, engage and support others around them. To get themselves in a good place academically. The watchers are students who don't engage or work hard and aren't willing to support their peers. The ones who except the leaders to do the work for them.We as a family at Chap should help one another reach our goals together as a team and not watchers.

It is important that we all work together and not just for ourselves.

A crew is people that work together and are a team. Also a crew is there for each other and helps each other and doesn't leave each other behind. We stay together to the end know matter what. A passenger is a single person. They are by themselves and or on their own. They do stuff on there own and or fend for them selves in a way. What I think this means in a class is you start out as a passenger on the first day of school. You start in a class as a passenger not knowing anyone or anything but a little ways into the school year you start to form a crew or bond all together as a class, you work together and help each-other and are there for each other. I think this a very important quote to think about when in class or around people you don't know.

This quote has great significance when placed in the context of a classroom; there are many possible interpretations of it. For instance, crew members are forced to work as a team to resolve conflicts and other matters that may arise. Another view is that of striving to act as an experienced crew would; always being prepared in every situation, and giving their all to ensure smooth operation at all times.

They don't know anything about each other but they do know where they are all headed. And then there's the crew memebers. They all work together and fly the plane to get to their destination. They help keep each other safe, and they stay focused because to them it is very important.

Which would represent that we are supporting each other in the classroom. For in the classroom, our job is to learn and intake knowledge.

This quote, "We are a crew not a passenger" has a great meaning to me. This quote ties back to the assembly when the teachers were telling us to get involved in the school and in the classroom. Being a part of a crew is just like family and family will always have your back. When your a passenger you get know help at all from anyone. So this school year I am going to be a big part in the crew other than being a passenger and I hope all of my classmates will do the same.

I believe that the quote "We are crew, not passengers" means people in a class have to get to know each other and have to work together to succeed like a crew . On the other hand a passenger is someone who is is "just there for the ride". This means they don't have to get to know each other or work as a team.

I think the quote "We are crew, not passengers" is mentioning how the "crew" is the idea that everyone is participating in guiding each other and not just riding along as the passengers and watching everything happen. As a chap family, we should choose to be the "crew" and lead each other and protect one another no matter what. Instead of choosing to be a bystander or in this case a "passenger", especially with this certain community.
