The goal of this resource is to give helpful information about world hunger. At the bottom of the page, it provides two opposing opinions about the best way to reduce world hunger without choosing to focus on one. This source was objective because the author never sided with a particular opinion or point of view. This source provided me with more understanding of my topic of research. This source helped me gain knowledge about different effects of hunger and why it is important to solve it. This source provided good information, however, I think this source may be biased because it talks a lot about how malnutrition in the United States is a threat to national security and it includes  lot of quotes from different people who have the same opinion about the topic.

The second source that I linked states, “Hungry children are sick more often and can suffer from physical, developmental, and cognitive impairments, resulting in lower academic achievement than that of their peers.” This quote shows how children suffering from hunger are weaker, both physically and mentally than their peers. Children that fall behind other kids are less likely to be successful in the future because their brains develop slower than others. The third link that I cited, says “Currently, as many as 828 million people, or one in every 10 people on the planet, is affected by hunger.” The number of people impacted by hunger all over the world should be heartbreaking enough for more people to care. Hunger can negatively impact economies because it can decrease employment, education, and more money would have to be spent to support families in need of food sources.
