I was sitting at home when the telephone rang. I didn't recognize the number but I answered it anyway. When I picked up the phone, I was immediately asked to answer a few questions about whatever they were trying to endorse. Knowing where this sales call was going, I hung up the phone without answering any of their questions. This made me think of when we would talk about nonresponse.

While being interviewed by a news reporter, our head basketball coach was asked about our upcoming season. He asked what the probability of having an undefeated season was and if he thought we would have one. Coach replied, saying that our chances of having an undefeated season were slim to none. He knew we were going to lose a few games, and he was okay with that.

In physics, we did an experiment and then wrote our outcomes up on the board to compare them with the rest of the class. As we're reading through the data, everyone's answers seem to be pretty similar to each other until we get to group 5, whose answer was probably about 100 numbers away from the rest of the class. The teacher jokingly said that they were the odd balls in the class because this wasn't the first time that this has happened. He said that their answers are always the outliers of the group.

My argument to her was that she didn't make any sense and that her reasons for yelling at me were completely irrational. I felt like there was something else that she was mad at me for but wasn't telling me about. There was the reason that she was yelling at me for which caused her to yell at me, but there was something else too that was influencing her anger and I just couldn't put my finger on it,
