Really interactive, I love the jeopardy round, great tool for engaging students. I was sometimes on information overload but overall very good presentation

Very deep lesson with appropriate rigor. Lots of engaging activities. Could have been 2 lessons though, You might lose the attention of the younger students with so much packed in one lesson.

This lesson was very engaging and it helped to assess understanding of new things in an interactive way. I loved the jeopardy game, I am already in the process of stealing it!

Interactive presentation. I like the Jeopardy at the end. I however, believe that the lesson could have been broken down into smaller lessons.

It truly felt like you broke down everything that I needed to know. You clearly showed that you are willing to check on your students. I was very impressed how you checked for understanding.

Keep up the great work.

I joined the class late and was unsure what age group the lesson was geared for. I feel like there was too much information on the slides and sometimes it was hard to follow, even for an adult like me. The slides were very wordy. My brain was scattered and the planet picture background on the actual slides was a little distracting. I would have liked more pictures of models and solar diagrams. Nasa photographs for example. The song, nearpod race, and jeopardy was fun but again, there was too much covered in this lesson that I thought could have been broken up over several lessons. Good job!

The topic is fascinating and timeless. One glow I would impart is the songs and videos really entertained, stimulated and educated me but I'm not sure how everyone might respond, but I love those kinds of tunes (#StevenUniverse). i was able to retain facts I had just learned. Also the jeopardy game at the end was very rewarding and relieving while providing an opportunity to practice learning.

A grow I would impart to the presentation is videos and lectures don't allow more than one check for understanding or any prompting for student attention , so in that case finding a means of presenting videos with accountability pauses and Checks for understanding in between is a immediate improvement that could be made. Thinking of edpuzzle.

I loved it! From the checking in (just like Dr. V does) and the mini meditation to the interactive nearpod questions with connections to real world things that kids enjoy, such as the game Among Us. It did not feel like a test at all, rather collecting the class mentality/mood. Super interactive that way and I enjoyed the way you used your phone to do the experiment. That's so 21st century! I'm sorry we didn't get to do your entire lesson!

Thank you guys for the feedback! We will definitely take everything into consideration moving forward.

As far as a reflection: I think the different aspects incorporated into the lessons was a plus. I believe I should work on improving my confidence and become more comfortable speaking. I tend to ramble a bit or get flustered while talking and this can be confusing for students. Will work on it!
Olivier’s presentation was very informal and jeopardy is always fun. We will definitely narrow down on the content and reevaluate the assessment level as well.
We will find a blend of our different teaching styles!
Thank you once again for participating!
-Fatima
