Wilde truly believed in living life to the fullest and pursuing anything that brings pleasure. Over time, he gained a bad reputation because of his close relationship with Lord Alfred Douglas. Eventually, he was accused for being a homosexual and, later on, arrested for it. After he had been released from prison, he was bankrupt. Wilde always wanted to be true to his freedom so he could easily adapt to new ideas and circumstances. For example, he would tell fairy tales at dinner parties which was very different to his typical style. Even though he was arrested for being gay, he was married to Constance Lloyd. He always had wanted to be Catholic and he was converted in his death bed.
