         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. Ancient Egyptians invented many things. They were even some of the first people to invent a calendar. They also made shadow clocks.<br><br>2. The Ancient Egyptians made the Rosetta Stone. The Rosetta Stone was found in Egypt in 1799 it contained 3 different languages on it. The languages were Greek, Demotic and, Hieroglyphic. It was also the key to translating and learning Hieroglyphics.<br><br>3. The Egyptians were the only ones to use mummification. It was only used on Kings and Queens (pharaoh) however. Mummification is the process of preserving the Human body after death.&nbsp;<br><br>4.          <description><![CDATA[<div>1. The religion of ancient Egyptians was embedded in every part of their daily lives. They were expected to live their lives with the principle of ma'at, to understand that the actions taken in one's life has consequences.<br><br>2. Egyptian religion was a mix of many different things including magic, herbology, spiritualism, mythology, science, medicine, and psychiatry.&nbsp;<br><br>3. Egyptians believed in an afterlife. Many Egyptians were buried with their organs and many of their valuables like food and spices. Other times the organs were taken out of the body and the cavity was rinsed with wine and a multitude of spices.<br><br>4. There were the "nine gods" that were most commonly worshipped.          <description><![CDATA[<div>1. Pharaohs were considered to be gods as humans and they held complete power over the rest of their subjects.<br><br>2. Pharaohs appointed Vizers and chief&nbsp; ministers who were to ensure that taxes were payed.&nbsp;<br><br>3. Priests and nobles were right under the Pharaoh. Priests needed to please Gods while nobles did favors for the Pharaoh. People of high social status often times had the ability to read and write.<br><br>4.          <description><![CDATA[<div>1. For most of ancient Egypt's history, they were operating on a barter system that did not use currency. It wasn't until the Persian invasion in 525 B.C.E that the Egyptians started to branch into a cash economy with its trade flourishing because of its gold, papyrus, linen, and grain.&nbsp;<br>2. Ships journeyed up and down the Nile river delivering its goods to various ports to be sent out with merchants to trade with other traders from other civilizations. Typical trades were made to gain either cedar wood, ebony, copper, iron, ivory, or lapis lazuli.<br>3. During the Old Kingdom of Ancient Egypt, trade was established with Mesopotamia. Trading during the Old Kingdom helped fund the pyramids and Yam, an important&nbsp; trading center during the Middle Kingdom. It then changed in the New Kingdom to Irem.          <description><![CDATA[<div>1. Ancient Egypt followed a monarch, their king (pharaoh) is to rule over Egypt, announce its laws, and building projects, along with his vizier as a second in command. Pharaohs were considered gods and citizens representation of a god, and abided by a Pharaoh with no complaints. Ancient Egypt was divided into regions where governors would ruler those particular regions.&nbsp;<br>2. Shemsu Hor was assessed by the government to carry out an individuals wealth and put forth taxes. Citizens had to pay taxes to support its government and its projects.&nbsp;<br>3. Scribes were important in the government to keep track of finances and record taxes, where as Overseers of the land kept track of the farmer and made sure they were doing their jobs.<br><br></div>]]></description>
