Chaos is a game for concentration and focus with multiple potential layers.

Everyone should raise their hand on the zoom call, you then need to establish a pattern of names. When your name is said, you call someone else's name [someone still with their hand up], this keeps going until everyone has been called and they've in turn said a name. The last person left calls the name of the first person in the pattern to complete it. Keep repeating the pattern until everyone feels the confident in it. You can then add another pattern, for example numbers or claps. Then you can begin to layer up the patterns, the more patterns on the go, the harder it gets and the more concentration is required!

The process of starting small with the 'Day in the Life' videos helped me to develop my own style and way of working. I intend to continue this by making a short film series following Miles DuBois, my character.

The most memorable part of the process for me was working with the amazing Zoe Puleston on setting up camera angles for our scenes. This can be found in our “making of” section.

Heyyy so what an experience...
At the start of this process, I had no clue how to make short films nevermind editing them, but through this process and with it being something new to all of us as a team I think we all helped each other and in the end came up with something that I know we are all really proud of.

I will definitely take on board how in-depth we went with our characterisation and how we made a world for these characters from not much to go on. Creating brand new stuff from that is something I never thought I could do. Also, the skills I have learnt about filming and editing is something I would like to develop further as it's something that will definitetly become more of the norm now.

The most memorable things for me was doing improvisations on Zoom and trying to use things around your house and link them to your character and also making this project a family affair, which is something I don't think they thought they would be doing ahaha.

See you later... enjoy:)

The past few weeks have been a huge learning curve for me. Before this project I'd never done any screen work let alone editing my own films. If I'm honest, iMovie struck fear into my heart. Now iMovie and I have a much better working relationship. I've learnt so many new skills over this project, which I'll keep perfecting overtime and take into the future. Detail has been a real focus of this project and something I've learnt to value highly. Working on building our characters and their worlds, detail became crucial. This is something that will definitely inform my process going forward.

A particularly memorable moment for me was on an early 'scramble' where my character was in the changing rooms at his workplace, the police station. I spent most of the five-minute time limit working out how many items of clothing to take off. My brother's cameos in most of my films are to be treasured also.

I learned so much about the behind the scenes processes, the amount of time and effort setting things up takes and how the actual footage is only a small part of a project.

I didn’t believe I could do much in terms of editing, but as I started using iMovie more, I discovered just how much life you can bring to a clip by editing it right and knowing the full potential of your editing software. I am entertaining the idea of exploring other complicated editing softwares in the future as well by doing some more projects.

One of the biggest challenges I had to face was the lockdown situation and the restrictions it can put on any creative pursuit. But, although tough, those conditions pushed me to use my imagination and come up with creative solutions!

I am proud of the amount of progress everyone’s done in the course of just a couple of weeks and the way we handled these unexpected circumstances with such grace.
