Umar ibn Khattab (Allah be well pleased with him) said:
“As we were sitting one day before the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), a man suddenly appeared. He wore pure white clothes and his hair was dark black—yet there were no signs of travel on him, and none of us knew him.
He came and sat down in front of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), placing his knees against his, and his hands on his thighs. He said, “O Muhammad! Tell me about Islam.”
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, “Islam is to bear witness that there is no god but God and that Muhammad is the Messenger of God; and to perform the prayer; pay zakat; fast Ramadan; and to perform Hajj to the House if you are able.”
The man said, “You have spoken the truth,” and we were surprised that he asked and then confirmed the answer.
Then, he asked, “Tell me about belief (iman).”
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, “It is to believe in Allah; His Angels; His Books; His Messengers; the Last Day; and in destiny—its good and bad.”
The man said, “You have spoken the truth. Now, tell me about spiritual excellence (ihsan).”
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, “It is to serve Allah as though you behold Him; and if you don’t behold him, (know that) He surely sees you.”
“Now, tell me of the Last Hour,” asked the man.
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, “The one asked knows no more of it than the one asking.”
“Then tell me about its signs,” said the man.
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, “That slave women give birth to their mistresses; and that you see barefoot, unclothed, beginning shepherds competing in the construction of tall buildings.”
Then the visitor left, and I waited a long time. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked me, “Do you know, Umar, who the questioner was?”
I replied, “Allah and His Messenger know best.”He said (Allah bless him and give him peace), “It was Jibril. He came to you to teach you your religion.” [Sahih Muslim]

What is Islam, Iman and Ihsan?
Islam
-إستسلام (surrender)
-without shahadah, every 'amalan will not be accepted

Iman
-Intention, doing things with ikhlas, practice it
-Iman is accept it with our own heart
-Believe 6 things in Rukun Iman 

Ihsan
-There is only one in Rukun Ihsan which is worship to Allah
-Ihsan is one of the highest rankings
-study Islam in its entirety and worship to Allah

-They are invisible. However, they may reveal themselves to humans on special occasions. An example is when the Angel Jibril revealed himself to Prophet Muhammad

Believe In Kitab
-Our Kitab is Al-Quran
-Al-Quran is our guidance 
-There are four types of KITAB:
  >Kitab Injil (Isa AS)
  >Kitab Zabur (Daud AS)
  >Kitab Taurat (Musa AS)

  • Yawm al-Hasrah (یوم الحسرة): the day of regret

Believe In Qada' and Qadar
Qadar is Allah’s knowledge of everything in pre-eternity, what happened and what will happen whether good or bad from pre-eternity to past eternity, their time, place, and characteristics, and His ordaining and determining them.
Qada is His creation of things and events when their time is due based on His pre-eternal knowledge and ordaining.

-From what I learnt and I understand is about the end of the world

TA'ARUF AND ICE BREAKING SESSION
The positive things I got were making new friends and knowing them during the ice-breaking. I also got to know their hobby, course, skills, or talent, and which states they are from. Hearing their sharing with our members taught me to be a good listener and supporter, and to respect each other.


BENEFIT OR HIKMAH DOING IBADAH
What I learned from my usrah is that Ibadah is really important to all believers (Muslims) and the hikmah that we will get is being close to Allah and trying to attain His pleasure to make sure that every Ibadah or every practice that we do accept by Allah.

Week 2
Reason & Source of Hikmah from Ibadah
Salah:
ٱتۡلُ مَآ أُوحِيَ إِلَيۡكَ مِنَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ وَأَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَۖ إِنَّ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ تَنۡهَىٰ عَنِ ٱلۡفَحۡشَآءِ وَٱلۡمُنكَرِۗ وَلَذِكۡرُ ٱللَّهِ أَكۡبَرُۗ وَٱللَّهُ يَعۡلَمُ مَا تَصۡنَعُونَ
- Salah is the best way to prevent us from doing sinful acts and has the benefit of being healthy
Sawm:
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ كُتِبَ عَلَيۡكُمُ ٱلصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِكُمۡ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَتَّقُونَ
- Sawm is a way to teach us sabr towards our needs(nafsu) such as eat & drink, cursing and others
Zakah:
خُذۡ مِنۡ أَمۡوَٰلِهِمۡ صَدَقَةٗ تُطَهِّرُهُمۡ وَتُزَكِّيهِم بِهَا وَصَلِّ عَلَيۡهِمۡۖ إِنَّ صَلَوٰتَكَ سَكَنٞ لَّهُمۡۗ وَٱللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ
- Zakah teaches us to be humble towards others, especially to poor people, and encourages us to give charity by doing Zakah
Hajj:
الْحَجُّ أَشْهُرٌ مَعْلُومَاتٌ ۚ فَمَنْ فَرَضَ فِيهِنَّ الْحَجَّ فَلَا رَفَثَ وَلَا فُسُوقَ وَلَا جِدَالَ فِي الْحَجِّ ۗ وَمَا تَفْعَلُوا مِنْ خَيْرٍ يَعْلَمْهُ اللَّهُ ۗ وَتَزَوَّدُوا فَإِنَّ خَيْرَ الزَّادِ التَّقْوَىٰ ۚ وَاتَّقُونِ يَا أُولِي الْأَلْبَابِ
- Hajj is a place where people go at least once in a lifetime if they are able or have a good financial

Week 3
Preparation in Salah with Khusu'
- Wudu with perfection way
- Focus towards qiblah and set an intention
- Do not ever talk during praying or disturb others by making noise
- Understand the meaning of each recitation

Week 4
Hikmah Khusu' in Salah
- To get Allah's pleasure
- To get close to Allah
- To be successsful in the hereafter and in the world
- To erase the sins

Virtues Found In Salah with Khusu'
- Al-Taah
- Al-Jihad
- Muhasabah
- Iffah
- Tawaddu'

Week 5
Virtues of Sawm
- A shield protects the servant from the fire
- It breaks the eruption of desire and tames it
-  Erase sins and expiate sins
- Acts of worship where the believer gets used to being patient in obeying Allah

Week 6
The Virtues of Zakah & Sadaqah
Sadaqah
- Helps Cure Illness and Averts Death
- Eases Hardships and Removes Calamities
- Investment in This Life and Hereafter
- One of the Gates of Jannah

Zakat
- Obtaining Allah’s Grace
- Given Shade from the Heat of the Last Day
- Opening the Doors of Sustenance
