Capital Punishment is a subject that brings up a lot of controversy among my religion. Our church teaches that everyone is worthy of life and no one deserves to die as if you have sinned, your punishment is being damned to hell. God cannot play with the free will of others so why should we dictate whether or not someone lives or dies. If you sin, you are given the rest of your life to repent for what you've done and to ask God for forgiveness. Life is one of the most beautiful creations that God has done and it is unfair and unjust to destroy or kill God's creations as it was made with a purpose and therefore serves worth within this world. If one person should die because of their sins, their executioner is just as bad as one who murders another person. Life should be valued and loved as it is what holds this world together as we are all God's children and will walk and die here as brothers and sisters.

Life is one of the most important things in society as we all walk and share this world together. Laws, rules and morals are set out by society that we must all abide by so that it functions correctly. If these rules are broken, an adequate punishment should be set in place in order to punish those who have broken the law, rule or moral. However we don't believe if you steal you should be punished by means of death, that's not at all what we believe. We differentiate crime into to categories, a social crime and a personal crime. A social crime is one that doesn't just affect one person, but affects a whole society. For example theft or getting into a fight with another person. A personal crime being deceiving someone or breaking their trust. All of these are crimes that should be looked at by a court. If someone murders another person, they are deemed unfit for society and should therefore be executed.

As a spokesperson for the Australian Government, I will discuss matters on the subject of capital punishment. Our government abolished capital punishment in 1967 as we saw that it is unnecessary to execute another man or woman because of their actions. Instead we opted for a more suitable punishment being a jail sentence as the person will have the remainder of their time in jail to think about what they have done. After a person is accused of a crime, they will stand before a court that will decide whether or not this person in question is guilty or not guilty. If they are deemed guilty, the judge will then decide a reasonable jail sentence or punishment, if deemed not guilty, all charges will be dropped and the person in question is then free to go.

No consequences will be done. God loves all his children and will not judge any of them. God will not play with the free will of others but come time for the death of those who sin, he will decide the fate of the person for the rest of eternity. God is understanding and loving and will forgive all his children if they decide to repent for their sins. Catholicism is often thrown in the dirt with people making out that our God will smite those who sin or don't follow his commandments. When in reality, God will love you unconditionally and will forgive you in the grand scheme of things as long as you repent

If change is in order, it will be brought up, discussed and decided whether or not a law should be passed or abolished. People have tried in the past to change the laws and policies on capital punishment and have come out unsuccessful for a reason, that reason being the governments believes everyone is worthy of the right to live and that right to live should not be taken away. Instead this person should have their crime and punishment decided before a court.

Well this question can have a variety of different answers, for now I will say the most suitable answer. The harm that is being done is that the free will of others is decided by another person on whether or not someone should die. God is the ultimate overseer and will decide at the right time whether or not a persons sins are justified for them to be sent to hell. The right to live is given to everyone by God and it is ultimately up to them whether or not they want to live a life without sin or to live a life where they do nothing but sin. it is okay to sin, we all sin and that's what makes us human. It is up to someone if they want to repent for the sins they have committed.

There is no harm being done with having appropriate punishments set in place for those who don't follow societies laws, rules and morals. These rules and laws are set in place to be followed, if they are broken, that is completely up to the person who broke them and their choice it break those rules and laws knowing full and well that a punishment will be set in place for them. The only harm that is being done is when unfair justice is brought to society and someone is sent to die for a reason that is not worth the death of another human. That is why courts should be wise and smart with their decision on whether or not someone should live or die.

No harm is being done whatsoever as execution is illegal in Australia. This was made illegal so that no one is harmed and is dealt with via a suitable means of punishment which stands as jail time. Jail time is put in place so that the person deemed guilty can have the rest of their jail sentence to think about what they've done and to come to terms that they are in there for a reason. Prison is a suitable place for all criminals and those who commit crime as it can change someone and set them straight that it is no place for them. If found guilty and given a life sentence, it usually means this person isn't deemed fit to live in society because they can't follow the laws or they are simply unsafe and dangerous to society and the world outside of the prison walls.

Punishment should be decided by a court and not by one man or a "God". A punishment should also be set out depending on what the accused has done and whether or not they are found guilty of the crime they are accused of. It is only fair that a murderer should be executed, they stole the life away from another person and so they should be executed by the hands of a court that has made that their fate.

I see capital punishment as a suitable means of punishments for those who deserve it. All life on earth should be valued and respected as you would have yourself valued and respected. If someone murders another human being in an act of hate, they should face capital punishment. If someone murders an animal such as a dog, cat or cow inhumanely and with every intention of placing harm on this animal, they are deserving of death by the hands of capital punishment. Everyone makes a choice whether or not they want to follow through on an action and everyone knows that a consequence will follow as a result. Having said that, the punishment of execution should be decided as the only means of punishment for said person. For example, someone who steals or sells drugs should not be executed, instead given a reasonable punishment such as jail time, a fine or community service.

If change doesn't happen soon, the people who disagree with a verdict or believe that someone should be executed, they will riot and rebel. In time, lobbyists and politicians will be successful with their attempts to reinstate the law and hopefully Capital Punishment can be a punishment that is placed upon someone within good reason.

If Capital Punishment is ever reinstated, more good will come out of it. As people who are guilty of heinous crimes are able to be put to trial and found guilty, they can then have a verdict made on whether or not they are able to function and continue in the real world or if they should be executed. At the moment in Australia, execution is outlawed and no real harm or justice is being done. The maximum amount of years in a life sentence in Australia is 25 years. This means that some criminals that have done some truly despicable things, are able to one day be released back into society whether or not they can function and live within a society.
