Working on an international business school with colleagues and students from diverse countries gives people sometimes the feeling that they are diverse and inclusive automatically. Maybe the colleagues teaching G75 can think of a nice exercises during team meetings.

Create feedback culture

To create social security it is important that everybody knows his or her tasks and responsibilities. Next is that we dare to approach each other when we see room for improvement, and give positive critical feedback.

A first step could be to discuss the semester evaluations per course, and together set up an improvement plan.

A second step could be working with 360 degrees feedback, dare to ask others what they appreciate in you, but also your improvements.

A third step could be visiting each other's lectures, and see what you can learn from your fellow colleagues.

Spend time on Fontys developments

Fontys is moving a bit from a decentralized organisation towards a more centralized organisation. This is what you see back in different kind of central frameworks, like talent-oriented, testing and internationalization frameworks.

This is translated in the framework memorandum of FIBS, and then further translated in the team plans of each team.

I think many colleagues don't see this translation process. So I think it is important to regularly spend attention on these topics in team meetings to guide our colleagues through this process, which will probably result in more understanding of the changes that we undergo.

Professionalisation

A lot of professional development is required of us for the future course of FIBS. This cannot be achieved within the scope of the current professionalisation hours.
