🌷My hope for this usrah class is that it will become a meaningful platform for me to strengthen my knowledge of Islam, to improve my character and spirituality, and to put what I learn into daily practice. I also hope that through this usrah, I can build a stronger bond of ukhuwah with my fellow brothers and sisters, where we remind each other towards goodness and support one another in times of ease and hardship. Furthermore, I wish that our naqibah/naqib will continue to guide us with wisdom and sincerity, so that this usrah will not only be a place to gain knowledge, but also a source of motivation, love, and blessings that bring us closer to Allah SWT.

🌷Tonight was the third week of our usrah class, and we had our session online at night. Even though it was virtual, I still felt the warmth of being together with my friends and naqibah. The topic for this week was about the three pillars of faith (iman), which are believing in Allah, believing in the angels, and believing in the revealed books. I found the discussion really meaningful because it reminded me that faith is not only something we claim with our tongue, but also something that must be deeply rooted in our heart and shown through our actions. Learning about these pillars made me reflect on how I should strengthen my relationship with Allah, acknowledge the unseen creations like the angels who are constantly around us, and appreciate the guidance from the holy books that Allah has revealed to mankind. Although the class was conducted online at night, it felt calm and inspiring, and I hope I can carry the lessons from this usrah into my daily life to become a better Muslimah.

What I learned in Week 3 Usrah:

🌷Belief in Allah – the foundation of faith and the recognition of Allah’s oneness and attributes.

🌷Belief in the Angels – understanding their roles as servants of Allah who record deeds, protect, and carry out divine tasks.

🌷 Belief in the Revealed Books – appreciating the Qur’an as the final guidance and respecting the previous scriptures revealed to earlier prophets.

🌷Today was the fourth week of our usrah class, and this time we had the session on Friday during the day. It felt different from the night class, as the daylight atmosphere gave a fresh and uplifting spirit to the discussion. This week we continued learning about the remaining three pillars of faith (iman), which are belief in the messengers, belief in the Hereafter, and belief in Qada’ and Qadar. I truly enjoyed the session because it reminded me of the noble role of the prophets who sacrificed their lives to spread Allah’s message. The reminder about the Hereafter made me think deeply about the reality of death and how I should prepare for the eternal life after this temporary world. Learning about Qada’ and Qadar also gave me comfort, as it strengthened my trust in Allah’s plan and taught me to be patient and grateful in every circumstance. The Friday noon usrah felt very meaningful, and I hope that these lessons will continue to guide me in becoming a stronger and more faithful Muslimah."

🌷What I learned in Week 4 Usrah:

🌷Belief in the Messengers – acknowledging all prophets as Allah’s chosen servants and following the final messenger, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

🌷 Belief in the Hereafter – being reminded about death, resurrection, accountability, and eternal reward or punishment.

🌷 Belief in Qada’ and Qadar – trusting that everything happens with Allah’s wisdom and decree, and learning to accept it with patience and gratitude.

🌷Today, on Friday noon, we had our fifth usrah session together. The class was filled with calmness and a sense of warmth as we gathered to learn about the concept of Ihsan. This topic was very meaningful to me because it reminded me that Ihsan is about worshipping Allah as if we see Him, and even if we do not see Him, we know that He surely sees us. I realized that Ihsan is not only related to acts of worship such as prayer and fasting, but also to the way we live our daily life—being sincere, honest, and striving to do everything in the best possible manner. The discussion encouraged me to be more mindful of my actions, words, and intentions, knowing that Allah is always watching over me. This usrah session gave me motivation to improve my sincerity in worship, to treat others with kindness, and to live with excellence for the sake of Allah. I pray that I can carry this spirit of Ihsan into every aspect of my life."

🌷What I learned in Week 5 Usrah:

🌷Definition of Ihsan – worshipping Allah as if we see Him, and knowing that He sees us.

🌷Ihsan in worship – performing ibadah with sincerity, focus, and excellence.

🌷 Ihsan in daily life – being honest, kind, and striving for the best in all actions for Allah’s sake.

🌷Usrah Diary Entr-week 3

🌷Date:9 January 2026

Today, on Friday noon, we had our third usrah session for Usrah 2, and the topic for this week was all about solat. Even though solat is something I’ve learned since I was young, today’s discussion felt deeper and more meaningful because it reminded me why solat is the most important pillar in a Muslim’s life after the shahadah. We talked about the reasons why we pray — not just because it is commanded, but because solat is a direct connection between us and Allah, a moment where the heart finds peace and the soul feels grounded.

We also revised the things that can invalidate prayer, and it made me more aware of how careful and mindful I should be while performing solat. Then we learned about the sunat elements that complete and beautify the prayer, which helped me realize that ihsan in solat means doing it with full focus and excellence, not rushing through it. The explanation about the hukum-hukum related to solat also helped me strengthen my understanding of what is wajib, what is sunat, and how each part completes the prayer as a whole.

Today’s usrah reminded me that solat is not just a routine obligation — it is a gift, a daily reminder, and a form of discipline that shapes my heart and character. I hope I can continue to improve my solat, do it with sincerity, and make it the source of strength in my daily life.

🌷What I learned in Usrah 2 – Week 3:

🌷The Importance of Solat – solat strengthens faith, brings peace to the heart, and serves as a direct connection with Allah.

🌷Reasons We Perform Solat – obedience, gratitude, reflection, and spiritual discipline.

🌷Things That Invalidate Solat – such as loss of wudu’, excessive movement, talking intentionally, turning away, and breaking the pillars of prayer.

🌷Sunat Actions in Solat – additional acts that beautify the prayer, increase rewards, and improve focus.

🌷Hukum in Solat – understanding the difference between wajib, sunat, rukn, and makruh.

🌷Other Related Points – the importance of khushu’, preparing properly before prayer, and maintaining discipline in performing prayers on time.

🌷Usrah Diary Entry week 4

🌷Date:16 January 2026

Today, on Friday noon, we had our fourth usrah session for Usrah 2, and this week’s topic focused on something very close to the heart — khusyuk in solat. The discussion felt really calming because it reminded me that solat is not just about movement and words, but about presence of the heart. We learned about the many benefits of having khusyuk, such as how it brings inner peace, strengthens iman, and makes us feel more connected to Allah. It also helps us find comfort during stress, because when the heart is focused, solat becomes a place of rest instead of a routine.

We also talked about the practical ways to develop khusyuk. I realized that khusyuk is not something that happens instantly — it takes practice, sincerity, and awareness. Simple things like preparing earlier, understanding the meaning of the recitations, avoiding distractions, and reminding ourselves that Allah is watching us can greatly improve our focus. Today’s session made me reflect a lot on the quality of my prayers, and I hope I can slowly build a more meaningful and focused connection with Allah through solat. This usrah truly inspired me to improve my heart, not just my outward actions.

🌷What I learned in Usrah 2 – Week 4:

🌷Benefits of Khusyuk in Solat

•Brings tranquility, calmness, and emotional stability.

•Strengthens the relationship with Allah.

•Makes solat feel meaningful, not rushed.

•Helps purify the heart and reduce stress.

•Increases rewards and improves quality of worship.

🌷Ways to Achieve Khusyuk in Solat

•Prepare early .

•Understand the meaning of recitations.

•Minimize distractions.

•Slow down movements and avoid rushing.

•Remind yourself that you are standing before Allah.

•Focus on breathing and presence of the heart.

•Keep practicing — khusyuk grows over time.

🌷Additional Benefits Related to Sujud

•Sujud shows humility — it is the lowest physical position but the highest spiritual closeness to Allah, showing full submission and dependence on Him.

•Sujud strengthens the heart against pride — when we place our forehead on the ground, we admit that everything we have comes from Allah.

•Sujud is a form of jihad (struggle) — fighting our own laziness, distraction, and nafsu to focus purely for Allah.

Sujud brings inner calmness — it is the moment where the heart feels safest and closest to the Creator.

•Sujud helps us seek forgiveness and guidance — it is the best time to make du’a and cry to Allah.

🌷Al-Muhsin in Prayer

•A person who is khusyuk (focused and present) in prayer is considered Al-Muhsin, because they perform the act of worship with ihsan — sincerity, excellence, and wholehearted devotion.

•Sujud (prostration) becomes a symbol of humility and closeness to Allah.

•Al-Muhsin does not merely follow the rules of prayer; they strive to perform it perfectly and with full focus, in their recitation, movements, and intention.

🌸In short:

A person who is khusyuk in prayer = Al-Muhsin, because khusyuk reflects ihsan and the full dedication of a servant to Allah.

🌷Luqman’s Advice

•Luqman, known for his wisdom, gave guidance that teaches us how to live righteously and please Allah.

🌸Key lessons from Luqman include:

•Tawheed (belief in Allah) – always worship Allah alone.

•Good character – speak politely, avoid arrogance, and treat others with respect.

•Parenting and family – honor and respect parents.

•Patience and prayer – be patient in facing trials, and establish regular prayer.

🌷 Abu Hurairah: A Great Muslim

•Abu Hurairah (RA) was known as one of the companions of the Prophet (PBUH) who was devoted in worship and full of knowledge.

🌸He was remarkable in two main areas:

•Excellence in Prayer (Solat) – he consistently performed prayers with khusyuk, devotion, and ihsan.

•Courage and Strength – he was also a strong warrior, showing bravery and commitment in defending Islam.

🌷Isra’ and Mi’raj: Events and Lessons

🌷Definition:

•Isra’ and Mi’raj refer to the miraculous night journey and ascension of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) by Allah’s command.

•Isra’: The Prophet travelled from Masjid al-Haram (Makkah) to Masjid al-Aqsa (Jerusalem) in a single night on the Buraq.

•Mi’raj: From Jerusalem, the Prophet ascended through the heavens and met Allah, witnessing extraordinary events and receiving instructions for the Muslim Ummah.

🌷Events that occurred during Isra’ and Mi’raj:

•The Journey on Buraq – Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) rode a miraculous steed, Buraq, which carried him swiftly from Makkah to Jerusalem.

•Leading the Prophets in Prayer – In Masjid al-Aqsa, he led all previous prophets in prayer, symbolizing his role as the final messenger.

•Ascension through the Heavens – The Prophet travelled through the seven heavens, meeting angels and previous prophets such as Adam, Isa,Musa, and Ibrahim.

•Visions of Paradise and Hell – He witnessed glimpses of Jannah (Paradise) and Jahannam (Hell), reminding believers of the Hereafter.

•Obligation of Solat – During Mi’raj, Allah made the five daily prayers compulsory for Muslims.

🌷Usrah Diary Entry-week 5

🌷Date:23 January 2026

🌷Fasting and Its Virtues

Fasting in Islam is an act of worship where Muslims refrain from eating, drinking, and desires from dawn until sunset, solely for the sake of Allah. It is one of the Five Pillars of Islam, and it trains the heart, mind, and soul to be disciplined, patient, and grateful.

✨ Virtues of Fasting

• Increases Taqwa (God-consciousness) — fasting helps us remember Allah in every moment.

• Purifies the heart — by controlling desires, anger, and negative behaviour.

• Strengthens patience (sabr) — hunger teaches discipline and emotional control.

• Enhances gratitude — when we feel hunger, we appreciate Allah’s blessings more deeply.

• Brings spiritual closeness to Allah — fasting is a private act of worship only Allah truly knows.

• Earns immense rewards — the Prophet (PBUH) said that the reward of fasting is with Allah Himself, showing how special it is.

• Improves empathy — fasting teaches compassion towards the poor and hungry.

• Opens the door to forgiveness — sincere fasting wipes away past sins.

🌙 Fasting in Surah Al-Baqarah

The main ayat about fasting is Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 183–185.

🕊️ Surah Al-Baqarah 2:183

Allah tells the believers that fasting has been commanded upon them just as it was commanded on previous nations, so that we may attain taqwa (God-consciousness).

✨ Hikmah:

Fasting is not only about hunger — it is training the soul to stay close to Allah.

🕊️ Surah Al-Baqarah 2:184

Allah explains that fasting is for a limited number of days, and those who are sick or travelling can replace their fast. Those who are unable to fast may give a form of charity instead.

✨ Hikmah:

Allah is Merciful. Fasting is meant to purify, not to burden.

🕊️ Surah Al-Baqarah 2:185

Ramadan is the month when the Qur’an was revealed. Allah wants ease for the believers, not hardship. The purpose of fasting is to complete the days of Ramadan, glorify Allah, and be grateful.

✨ Hikmah:

Fasting connects us with the Qur’an, increases gratitude, and strengthens faith.

🌷 Meaning of faith

•faith means to believe sincerely in the heart,to affirm that belief with the tongue, and to prove it through righteous actions.

🌷 Meaning of taqwa

•taqwa means being aware at all times, fearing to displease him,and protecting oneself from sins by obeying his commands.

🌙 How Ramadan Leads to Taqwa

Ramadan is designed by Allah to train the heart, the mind, and the soul. The entire month shapes a believer to become more aware of Allah, more disciplined, and more connected to the Qur’an. Through this process, Ramadan becomes a direct path toward taqwa.

✨ 1. Fasting trains self-control

By avoiding food, drink, and desires from dawn until sunset, a person learns to control their desires.

This discipline strengthens the heart and helps us stay away from sins even outside Ramadan.

→ Taqwa grows when we can control ourselves for the sake of Allah.

✨ 2. Fasting makes us constantly aware that Allah is watching

No one truly knows whether we are fasting except Allah.

This creates a deep sense of sincerity (ikhlas).

→ Taqwa grows when we worship sincerely, knowing Allah sees everything.

✨ 3. Ramadan softens the heart through hunger

Feeling hunger reminds us of our weakness and dependence on Allah.

It increases humility and gratitude.

→ Taqwa grows when the heart becomes humble and grateful.

✨ 4. Increased prayer and Qur’an strengthen the soul

During Ramadan, Muslims pray more (Taraweeh, Tahajjud) and recite the Qur’an often.

These acts purify the heart and fill it with light.

→ Taqwa grows when the heart is filled with Qur’an and remembrance of Allah.

✨ 5. Ramadan encourages charity and kindness

Giving sadaqah, feeding the poor, and helping others increases compassion.

This softens the heart and reduces arrogance.

→ Taqwa grows when we become more caring and less selfish.

✨ 6. Ramadan teaches patience (sabr)

Fasting requires patience with hunger, time, emotions, and behaviour.

A patient person is more cautious with their actions and words.

→ Taqwa grows when we control anger, speech, and behaviour.

✨ 7. Ramadan breaks sinful habits

People naturally avoid gossip, anger, bad words, music, laziness, and other habits so they don't ruin their fast.

This detox purifies both heart and body.

→ Taqwa grows when we leave sins for Allah.

🕊️Three Levels of Fasting According to Imam Al-Ghazali

🌷The Fast of the Ordinary People (Ṣawm al-‘Ām)

🌸 The basic level of fasting.

Meaning:

Only avoids food, drink, and things that break the fast.

Still commits small sins like gossiping, lying, or looking at inappropriate things.

🌷The Fast of the Righteous (Ṣawm al-Khāṣ)

🌸 A higher level of fasting.

Meaning:

Avoids all sinful behaviour.

Controls the eyes, ears, tongue, hands, and mind.

Focuses on good deeds, dhikr, Quran, patience, kindness.

🌷 The Fast of the Most Devout (Ṣawm al-Khāṣ al-Khāṣ)

🌸 The highest and rarest level.

Meaning:

The heart fasts from anything other than Allah.

Total sincerity, pure intention, deep connection with Allah.

Keeps the mind focused on remembering Allah, not worldly distractions.

🕊️ Ramadan is formula to change our habit because habit to be change need times and consistency.Other than that environment,in ramadhan it helps us to change our habit because surronding in ramadhan itself.Lasly, starting point to start something.
