The original meaning of Holocaust was any type of destruction or slaughter on a large scale, typically by fire. However, when referring to The Holocaust, or just Holocaust in general it typically refers to the mass slaughter of Jews and other minorities in WW II, when Germany was under the reign of Adolf Hitler.

In concentration camps, the Jewish would be separated (the strong from the "weak", twins etc). The "weak" group included women, children, the elderly, and those with disabilities were taken to a field away from the center of the camp, then led to gas chambers soon after. Twins were taken for experiments, and the "strong" (mostly adult men) were forced to work, and often forced to work. This often resulted in them being worked to death.

The ghettos were small sections of towns and cities blocked off by walls to keep them in one spot. They were used as a place to keep the Jews somewhere until they were sent off to concentration camps. They were run by German Nazi jailers. After Jews lived there for a few weeks they either died from starvation or diseases or were sent to concentration camps.

The word genocide is a very specific term, indicating the killing of a group of people, especially a certain ethnicity or religion in order to destroy those groups. There have been many genocides in the past for the killing of specific races or religions but the most famous one was known as the Holocaust. The Holocaust was another term used to call the genocide of millions of Jews. The Nazis believed that the Germans were "racially superior" and the Jews were inferior. The Jews were seen as threats by the Germans. The Holocaust involved the massacre of Jews because Nazi Germany wanted to stop this group of people. The horror surrounding the Holocaust led to realization about genocides and the impact it can have on society.

A concentration camp is a place where large numbers of people are kept in secluded, small spaces. They were sometimes expected to provide forced labor, or await mass execution. These reservations were used as a place to hold prisoners that the government didn't know what to do with. During the Holocaust, Hitler used these camps to hold Jews (the group or race that he held a profound hate for). These camps only held two faiths, death or labor

In ghettos the Jews were put under harsh conditions with low rations and rampant diseases and sicknesses. The jailers gave them very little food so a vast majority of the Jews died from starvation, diseases, were shot, or were sent to camps. The children had to study and learn in secret. The Germans arrested them for unknown rules and drunken soldiers visited them and snipers picked off innocent inhabitants.

A labor camp is reservation that has been used to force individuals into servitude and strained labor. These camps were seen as a form of punishment for a crime , or an act misconduct. The word labor camp is placed under the widely known term, concentration camp. During the time of the Holocaust, Nazis exploited the labor of Jews in concentration camps by enslaving them and planting them into labor camps. This otherwise set out a long chain of forced-labor camps across Europe.
