The personal chaos I experienced when moving to the U.S. was losing access to the most important person in my life - my grandmother. Leaving her meant I would lose access to an ancient culture and knowledge about nutrition and food. It also meant I would slowly forget the native language of my home country because I could no longer hear her voice. My grandmother spoke a native dialect that even my parents could only understand but could not speak. I was hoping I would keep my grandmother's native dialect 'alive' and pass it to our next generation. But I couldn't do that when I immigrated to the U.S.

When I was in my grandma's house it will be good because every morning you will see how beautiful it is, and how the dogs or cats will be just there waiting for you, to go see them. But when it was at night, i will get to se the sunset and the colors of the sky. I will go on top on the mountain with my cousins and see it and we will just stay there for a while, and even see the starts, we will talk for a little bit and then we will just go home. However when we had time we will go play any type of game to not get bored, but also we will help around. However what I miss more is the breakfast I had in the mornings and even the hugs from my grandma.
