I like that you've got that here with the spirals/curl of the page and also the spiderweb's centre, plus the eye looking sideways kind of decentres us from looking 'straight' at the work. I'm also thinking about the significance of this fleshy pink colour in relation to the 'baked' clay pieces, which are also pale pink!

She used the whole space as a kind of experimentation ground, with all these seperate elements coming together in the installation, she had a long installation time. i remember the materiality and texture of everything was v striking.. especially this cage, hair, gold structure thing.. I feel this will be a way i might consider installing at french street, a couple of key structures, surrounded by malleable elements , fragments that can be built and completed in the installation, in relation to the environment.

Went to this exhibition at Tate Britain yesterday. The vibe is sort of melted petrocultures in a dreamlike realm of clouds and eco-strangeness - think floating ribcages, albatrosses, mysterious birds and salt crystals. There was also a pool of water that reminded me of the inky pool in Under the Skin, or like the entrance to the Black Lodge. There were objects, kind of 'used' machine-like parts suspended on wire and a kind of furnace with salt crystals and then a projected screen showing a solar peach setting and rising into the sea. I quite like the immersive quality and the way colour and reflective surfaces were used and the way you kind of wanted to cluster at diff points of its environment.
