Mr. CLutter liked Bobby and considered him for a boy his age, which was 17, most dependable and gentlemanly.

It's nice that Capote just simply summarizes Bobby as a typical respectful teenager.

We learned is shard working girl and would use her time help others and the community.

Dick was very literal minded, VERY -- he had no understanding of music, poetry -- and yet when you got right down to it, Dick's literalness, his pragmatic approach to every subject, was the primary reason Perry had been attracted to him, for it made Dick seem, compared to himself, so authentically tough, invulnerable, "totally masculine".

Capote is very straightforward about his personality, there is no symbolic beating around the bush, just straight personality.

This shows that he is the younger sibling and likes to pick on his sister. Also that he is a little rebellious. It also shows that he is a little wise.

Dicks face when he saw those boxes! "Christ, Perry. You carry that junk everywhere?"

And Perry had said, "What junk? One of them books cost me 30 bucks."

Because of how Perry reacts to Dick calling his books junk, we are led to believe that Perry values books more and that Dick does not, and also thinks that Perry is a nerd.
