The EL students can be really good at reading but their writing is not so strong so the score impacts that when it's put all together. Some students can be very good at understanding English but have a hard time with communicating that.

I am unsure but I imagine that the school has bilingual admin that can talk to the students or families. I would have to do more research on that.

I don't know but I could probably ask one of the assistant principals since they may know but if not, they could direct me in the right direction.

-Destiny

I honestly have not had much interaction with the ELPAC. Our site has a Learning lab that students can go into for additional help. As for translation services, that's a question I have to ask.

2.	We do have a lot of resources. But since I am bilingual, I am also a great resource when it comes to Spanish speakers.

3.	I’m not sure but I know I can reach out to my department lead and she can defiantly help me.

-Andrea

ELPAC Implications: The ELPAC focuses on academic language, integrating language and content, meaningful interaction, explicit language instruction, scaffolding, and assessment for learning. This implies that teachers should create language-rich classrooms that integrate academic language with challenging content, provide opportunities for interaction and collaboration, teach language structures explicitly, and utilize scaffolding and formative assessment to support diverse learners.

Bilingual Supports: Bilingual staff, translated materials, parent workshops in Spanish, and bilingual library resources are available at my site.

Translation Services: In-person interpretation, phone interpretation, online translation tools, and translation apps are available. More details can be obtained from the school's EL coordinator or office staff.

-Antonio
