This is because it makes a huge negative impact on the environment that is not reversible. Furthermore, Mining when searching for element can create erosions. the formation of sinkholes loss of biodiversity in land, as well as ground water and surface water getting contaminated. Not to forget, mining the elements will mean that one day the elements will run out, and majority of their key uses for them could mot be available.

However, Mining can also be a good thing. This is because mining is key for helping us get and conceive certain elements and materials in order to help us in our everyday life. Mining such element also helps us discover new elements that we might've not discovered before. Not top forget, mining also helps all of us, because our transport, our work, and energy all relies and depends on mining and the element we collect.

-we don't have much choice because we need fossil fuels to power factories, cars homes etc. 
-The more we mine the more pollution is created, global warming gets worse and we are wasting earth's natural resources as the fossils take millions of years to form.
