Today was a special day.

In the morning, I opened the window and enjoyed the fresh air.

For lunch, I went out with a friend to grab sandwiches. In the evening, my family and I watched a movie and cooked pasta together. Today was a really enjoyable day. I plan to read a new book tomorrow. Excited!

In the morning, I began with chores, sweeping until the floor was spotless. Polished and waxed, did laundry, and mopped, making everything shine. After sweeping again. And so, I indulged in a good read—maybe two or three books. I even added a few new paintings to my gallery. Played the guitar, worked on some knitting, and cooked a bit.

After lunch, I engaged in puzzles, darts, and baking. Tried my hand at paper mache, did a bit of ballet, and played chess. Explored pottery, tried ventriloquy, and even made candles. Later, I stretched, sketched, took a climb, and sewed a dress!

As evening descended, I revisited my favorite books and considered painting the walls once more. I'm sure there's room somewhere for more creativity. Then, I brushed and brushed my hair, feeling a bit stuck in the same place I've always been.

And so, I keep wondering and wondering when my life will truly begin. Tomorrow night, lights will appear, just like they do on my birthday each year. I can't help but wonder what it's like out there where they glow. Now that I'm older, perhaps Mother might just let me go.
