And hearing him recounting his father's words was very powerful and and comforting at the same time. You could hear all the emotion behind the words he sang and at the same time I'm feeling comforted by his father's words as well. In the song, a bigger line is when he says, “ See, heaven's got a plan for you.” Showing that even the God above is on his team but when he's recounting it, he is also sharing that empathy and wisdom to us.

This catchy song has been in my brain for as long as I can remember even though it only came out in 2013. He says his lyrics fast, but they have a lot of meaning if you're able to keep up. He tells stories of his friends celebrating good times with him but then also questioning why they aren't there for him when there isn't anything to celebrate.
