Then we have a celebration in which we cook variety of food and place it in front of our ancesters after some time we have the food . We wish blessings from our ancesters. Childer [girls] wear saree ,dhavani and patupavada[a long skirt and shirt made of silk] and men wear lungi[a long cloth tied togethaer to form a dress. and on the top we wear a normal t-shirt which is made on silk.We are always tolerant ,helpful,loving,caring and spending time with family.We have a special instrument called as para with is made of animal hair.We also have special moves to dance when we are playing the instrument para.

It is when extended members of a family – parents, children, the children's spouses and their offspring, etc. – live together. Usually, the oldest male member is the head of the joint Indian family system. He mostly makes all important decisions and rules, and other family members are likely to abide by them.

In a 1966 study, Orenstein and Micklin analysed India's population data and family structure. Their studies suggest that Indian household sizes had remained similar over the 1911 to 1951 period. Thereafter, with urbanisation and economic development, India has witnessed a break up of traditional joint family into more nuclear-like families.Sinha, in his book, after summarising the numerous sociological studies done on the Indian family, notes that over the last 60 years, the cultural trend in most parts of India has been an accelerated change from joint family to nuclear families, much like population trends in other parts of the world. The traditionally large joint family in India, in the 1990s, accounted for a small percent of Indian households, and on average had lower per capita household income. He finds that joint family still persists in some areas and in certain conditions, in part due to cultural traditions and in part due to practical factors.Youth in lower socio-economic classes are more inclined to spend time with their families than their peers due to differing ideologies in rural and urban parenting.With the spread of education and growth of economics, the traditional joint-family system is breaking down rapidly across India and attitudes towards working women have changed.

I live in a place with astonishing exotic cultures and traditions.
I live in Kerala. In Kerala we seem to have a strong bonding between family and friends. Our culture taught us to see guests as gods (Athithi Devo Bhava) which is a symbol of hospitality.Kerala is a very environmental state. Its known for greenery. Kerala is the land lf spices. It's also called God'sown country. Our traditional clothing there is saree for women and dhoti and shirt/kurtha.
Our mother tongue is malayalam. We also have a great traditional meal which we eat in traditional occasions.The meal is on a banana leaf. It consists of rice,sambar a variety of dishes,sweets,a small banana,etc. There are traditional occasions like Onam and Vishu in Kerala. The traditional dance is classical dance. There is infinite more to say about my culture . Our culture is the literal definition of love . Which is none other than MY Kerala, OUR Kerala, God's own country .

I'm a student of NIMS, living in Dubai since 2008 in Jumeirah 3. I'm from Bangladesh, over the years since my stay in Dubai, I've seen many new buildings, roads, and other infrastructure in UAE and I love living in Dubai as it gives me a sense of security, peace, knowledge, friends, warmth, memories and so on. I find the UAE culture really fascinating as we are Muslims, the UAE culture coincides with the Islamic culture in terms of dressings, etiquettes. I love the local Arabic food, especially shawarma, Gahwa, Tareed, Harisa, Sweets, BBQ, Wareq inab, and many more! But I equally love & respect my culture as well. Our foods are a thing to not miss if you ever visit Bangladesh, especially dry fried meat, ducks, snacks, dried mango pickles, curries, fried fish, jhal muri, beguni, rashgulla, pakoras, biryani and the list goes on. We wear salwar kameez & sarees as our traditional clothing. Our population stands at 170 million making it the 8th most populated country in the world. The mosque is an Islamic holy place called as Masjid which means the place of prostration.. We had a virtual tour to a mosque named Al Noor located on the Khaled lagoon at the Buhaira Corniche. It is of Turkish Ottoman design and it can accommodate over 2,200 people at a time, This mosque has also set a Guinness world record for worlds largest wooden charity box, It has two minaret whose height is approximately 52 meters. It has a beautiful architectural structure. People from different countries come to visit this mosque. In Mosque, there were two places designated for prayer, one was for men and other was for women, In the males room will be the Imam who will lead the prayer, The Masjid is beautifully decorated with beautiful islamic patterns and texts from the Quran, And there will be no statues or pictures as it is strictly forbidden in Islam, There is a place called Minbar from which the imam or the Islamic leader speaks. Mosques are the heart of Islamic life, they serve for prayers and for events during Islam's holiest month which is Ramadan. Men and women should dress modesty inside the mosque. Women have to wear head scarves. Shoes are not allowed and only tour guides and tour companies registered with the mosque are allowed to accompany tourists. You don't have to pay to enter the Mosque. To appreciate, the real beauty and splendor of the place, you have to see it in person.

Ratnagiri city is famous for its Konkani culture and cuisine, not to forget the much coveted Alphonso mangoes. Ratnagiri is also the birthplace of the great freedom fighter Lokmanya Tilak. Within the town's borders is an aquarium. The main attraction here is the skeleton of a huge whale.

The city is known for the Hapus or Alphonso mangoes. Ratnagiri is the birthplace of Indian independence activist Lokmanya Tilak. Thibaw, the last king of Burma, alongside his consort Supayalat and two infant daughters were exiled to a two-storied brick mansion in Ratnagiri. The building is now known as Thibaw Palace.
