         <description><![CDATA[<p>This reflection outlines a self-evaluation of my experience in completing the Marketing Consultancy Project, using Gibb’s reflective cycle to structure my writing. The first stage in completing this project was choosing the brief that best suited the groups skillset, after deliberation we chose to do PWVC. After completing individual research on PWVC, we started brainstorming ideas, I came up with the general idea to focus on PWVC’s heritage and British culture by evaluating the brief and research. After discussing and identifying the foundation of the campaign, my next steps were pinpointing my strengths and weaknesses as the following task was to divide work that we would complete individually. The sections<strong> </strong>I chose to complete were strategy and specific elements of the situation analysis and action, we then did our work independently, checking in with each other occasionally in the library and on group calls, before finally collating all our work.</p><p>During this time, I felt confident with my strategy as I broke it down into smaller sections, making it seem less overwhelming. Throughout the project I felt comfortable in reaching out to my group if I had any concerns or questions but overall felt that I took the position as the leader, as it was my initial idea that we built upon. However, as the deadline approached the groups motivation, including myself, depleted and I felt that I put in extra effort to ensure that other tasks were fully completed which left me feeling frustrated.</p><p>I contributed my planned sections, and others like objectives and took initiative to complete extra elements of our project like mock up billboards and taglines. We successfully designed the presentation together, all contributing different creative elements. Our time management skills weren’t very successful, usually taking longer than planned to finish our individual tasks, I think dedicated time as group in person was an element we were missing. However, the initial planning of the contents of the project was a success, we worked well together expanding each other’s ideas. Although, at the start I think I struggled to assemble my general, smaller ideas into one main campaign.</p><p>I think our time management skills weren’t optimal as we were all very comfortable with each other, whereas maybe a more professional relationship and approach would have been more beneficial to motivate each other to complete our tasks. However, once we collated our individual information we worked well as a team to edit and refine our sections, suggesting improvements like adding theories and technical language to develop our work.</p><p>From this group project I learnt that there are benefits and flaws with being friendly with your group and that I struggle to identify elements in the macro environment but thrive in developing brand identity. Also, my time management skills need improving.</p><p>In the future to improve, I will maintain a level of professionalism in group-work settings and be stricter on myself when maintaining deadlines. I will also familiarise myself with the fundaments of the macro environment.</p>]]></description>
